Rogue Avian Station

Created almost half a century ago this station is not attached to Avia. Filled with mostly Avians and Family workers/followers this station holds many dark secrets and ties to the black market. Shockingly rich with culture it is a interesting site to visit if allowed.

After Matthew had dropped off Dawn and Esk, it had headed it's way to this dreaded station. Matthew sat in the large pilot cabin with the rest of the flight crew, from the navigators to the pilot, but he was the captain of them all. He ordered one of his subordinates to hail the station so they could dock.

A clear crisp video feed appear of a buff, tattooed Avian male, "Please state your business here." He said in a deep crisp voice as he studied some sort of screen nearby. The back ground showed everything was pristine and up to order unlike many colony stations.

Silv over the period of 'joining' would prove her worth and more so, her goal to move up rank but admittedly when she heard they were stopping at a Avian station she did get a lil giddy to see more of her kind even if it was for a short visit.

"Greetings," Matthew said calmly, "I am Matthew Cobalt, Captain of the Starship Star's Rage, named by my predecessors. We're a freelance smuggling ship, specializing in the slave trade mostly. We'd like to dock for resupply and, if anyone is willing, offer our... wares. We're requesting temporary rest at your station."

He arched a brow, "It shows on my schedule you also have a meeting with a Family representive corect?" He tapped a few things to give them permission to dock. "On your screen you will see that while we are a black market station any sales on this station must be screened before being imported onto this station. Any of your crew members break our laws they will be punished by our trial customs. If drugs are smuggled on you risk revolk of any allowed ability to trade here. Are you also here to inquire about our special products?" He asked, almost boredly as if he was expecting the same response from every other person who hear this.

"Will the special products come up in the meeting?" Matthew asked as he watched one of his pilots begin to dock.

"Since you will be meeting the tribe leaders yes." He said with a nod, "but confirming it would help them prepare any offers." He explained as he boredly watch the screen again, "There is celebration today of the station opening so do not be alarm by the fireworks or loud boom sounds going off... But do be aware of said surroundings I personally dont want to file paperworks tonight of a idiot catching fire." He sighed

"I'll personally berate the idiot himself if he manages to catch himself ablaze." Matthew replied honestly. He wasn't about to let his record tarnish for one of his crew's stupid behaviors. "Well, if that's the case, then yes, I am interested in your special products."

"Alright then. You and up to four men of your choosing will have a escort to the meeting location once you leave your ship. Please enjoy your stay."the screen went black as he was fully docked.

Matthew went down to the hangar bay, choosing out three men and... Silv. "You're an avian, right?" He said, walking up to her. "You'd be more familiar with their customs."

Silv looked up surprise from what she was doing, "Uhm yea, from what I heard about this station away. She broke away from homeworld 50 years ago." She shrugged surprise he would pick her unless he felt like he needed a translator. "They're wild fowl though so not many things should of change specially since they left pre-war before the force changes." Her face turn slightly sour on that note.

"Come with me." Matthew said, "I need you to be more knowledgeable in their customs. The last thing I need is to insult these people... They have dreadfully powerful ties that I would not want to see the bad side of." He waved for her to follow.

She trotted to follow, "Well...if that the case you have to listen to everything I say, same with your men." She had a respectful tone as she spoke. "They will judge you guys on your own merits, while me on the other hand.."She shrugged, "different levels of judgements."

Matthew nodded. He would not argue. Even if he was the captain, he trusted his crew when they had more knowledge in something than he did.

"Okay, first off dont bow your rank here equal tribe leader to them, doing that would make them question your manhood. Your men though must bow, waist low bow at seeing them. They will question me so dont uhm...freak if we start flashing tattoos its a way for us to establish what my social ranking would be here. They will speak to you in common but don't be surprise if they swap to talk to me in avian, I assure you I will translate to my best abilities... But would you want to know their more vulgar thoughts or no?" She asked.

"I would like to know everything they've said. Clients that hide things from me aren't considered trustworthy."

She nodded, "alright,i will have to translate some words to the closest thing in common since not all avian words will directly translate. They will serve food, even if you can't eat the whole bowl just eat a few grubs. Bite the head off them chew it wont wiggle as much when you swallow."

Matthew made a slight frown, as if impressed. "Okay. Interesting, but I've had strange food served to me before, I think I can deal with it."

"This food is still alive and can latch onto your tongue if your not careful." Silv said with a shrug, "Since your non avian they'll serve you the mild version of the spices."

The Captain nodded, "Alright, sounds fine to me. I'll take heed of that."

"Your men wont be required to eat but their actions and behavors will reflect back to you on leadership." She would let him speak to the people he picked to come with on the cultural stance simply because she was still at the low end of the pecking order on this ship. When things were explained they would be lead to the meeting room which had three avians and two keepers causally sitting waiting for them.

"My men serve me diligently." Matthew replied simply, and the five members of the ship stepped off and followed the escorts to the room. As ordered beforehand, the three soldiers that followed behind Matthew bowed deeply.

They nodded in respect and obviously pleased at the gestured, on the middle of the table was a few bowls of moving grubs. Silv took a deep breath as she gave a Avian greeting and sat last were Matthew decided she was to sit.

The male keeper of the group smirked at the sight and nodded, "Welcome thank you for coming." He said in a friendly voice that shouldn't be trusted, "I should explain why we requested a meeting with you shouldn't I?"

"It's an honor to be here." Matthew replied with the same cool yet untrustworthy inflection, sitting down, and soon the guards followed, leaving Silv an empty seat with just one guard between her and Matt. "And please do."

Silv was quiet as she took her seat, letting Matt speak.

"Indeed. We summoned you here for a business deal, from our records and reports you had a run in with the keeper Heny...well we would like to offer you a chance of revenge." He mused, their meeting fading out into black. "Now I heard you want to speak to the Avians about their poison?" He said standing to leave.
