"Hey i'm gonna try really hard NOT to drown you. You're no use to me drowned man." Matt shoved Thalia playfully.

"It seems like a lot of medicinal knowledge translates well between species; hopefully there are a few studies on the subject though. Do you know how if Hexenfolke have integrated much with other species? That would certainly produce more clear answers to this question." He smiled, "I'm fairly sure that Terran herbal medicine is moderately effective on most species, too. I read that somewhere once."

He laughed, "Not as if I can die anyway... It just sucks coming back."

Kay shrugged. [Nobody within the Imperium tends to integrate with other species, then again, look at my family.] He smiled. [We're all half breeds, so clearly there's a great deal of compatibility. Given how similar their physiology IS to Terran, I would not be at all surprised to see a lot of crossover in reactions to certain chemical compounds. It's simply a question of finding similar enough plants that will grow on in a lab. ]

Matt frowned, serious for a moment. "How... does that even work? " it sounded horrendous.

"It...not fun." He muttered taking a long sip of water.

"But like... what happens? Is it like you just... pass out and then wake up again later? do you go somewhere for a while? " He paused. "sorry, this is really... not a date conversation is it?"

"It...like everything going numb, your brain just stop working... Then you jolt painfully as life passes through your eyes.. Yea it really isnt." He said softly.

"sorry." Matt ate his bugs in silence, damnit, yeah.. managed to screw that up.

He sighed, "Anyway, what your thoughts about our relationship in general?" He asked.

Matt jolted, that was... an unexpected question. "uh.. I... what do you mean?"

"In general." He said with a shrug, "too much?"

"no I just... really have no clue how to answer." Matt thought about it. "I suppose I... really do like you. I mean, you're super hot." He laughed. "Not to mention awesome in bed. But we don't really know one another that well in any manner other than well... intimately. Usually i'd be fine with that if it was a one night stand but... this isn't a one night stand. Honestly i've never really done a proper relationship with anyone before, casual sex is... really it. So this is all pretty new to me. " He looked awkward.

Asher's mind buzzed happily with thoughts of preparing better for emergencies. He lightly placed his hand on Kay's arm, wanting to express how much he enjoyed his company. "I suppose we could always repurpose some of Vestia's new rooms if Ellie won't let us use Hydroponics,," he suggested.

Matt nodded. "That's.. kinda why I wanted to get out today. You know, do something stereotypical and couply. We sorta jumped into all this a bit backwards" He looked at Thalia hopefully. "But is that what you want?"

Kay tensed slightly at the sudden physical contact, but mentally scolded himself for being so jumpy. It wasn't like there were many other people here, and nobody was watching them. Still, there were those conflicting feelings again. Man this was getting frustrating.
He nodded, and looked at Asher, forcing himself to smile in a manner he hoped concealed his anxiety.

Asher withdrew his hand apologetically. "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. Too soon?"

Kay shook his head. [It's not you Asher. I'm just.. broken.] He exhaled deeply. [Half of me wants to just grab you and kiss you and the other half is absolutely terrified to even look at you. I'm sorry.] He lowered his head, yep, he was a mess. Asher definitely deserved someone with far fewer issues.

"Yea...that what I been thinking of actually." He said sheepishly, "I been in a few relationships... But this is the first to thrive."

Matt smiled softly. "So.. let's see where this goes then right? " He reached out a hand to Thalia.

Matt laughed. "you know, why not? " He squeezed his hand. "Not like I can lie to you anyway."

"You start?" He grinned, "And I promise I wont lie either."

Matt pondered, he didn't really know what to ask now. Hmmm. "okay... so you hate swimming and you hate dancing... what do you like to do for fun? Aside from sex." He snickered.
