Upon Silver Devil: Chapter One

You would notice the smaller ship among the giants, docked to the space port it was in search of new crew members after the last few... left suddenly.

Dawn blinked and looked at the two then at the seat, buckling up quietly. "Um...would now be a bad time to mention that I took the guns off the shuttle?"

Esk sighed. "Because of COURSE you did." He did a quick mental calculation of what they had on them. It wasn't looking great. "We'll cross that bridge when we get to it, right now just hope we can outrun them." He focused on doing just that.

"At the time, I thought we were going to blow the shuttle up, no sense blowing guns up as well" Dawn said and folded her arms again

Realizing the tiny ship was picking up speed, the giant ship revealed itself again, showing the acronym of SIASC along its flank. Three tinier ships suddenly departed it, weapons out and headed straight for the tiny ship.

Esk swore under his breath. "Hold on tight." He called back as he tried evasive maneuvers, opening fire on the smaller ships.

The ship's followed, one using itself as a target and trying to attract Esk's attention by brazenly flying close while the other two began rapid firing. They weren't lethal shots, but aimed to stun or slow the ship down.

He muttered to himself in his native tongue as he tried to avoid the other ships, but eventually they were just outnumbered and outgunned. There was an explosion as one of the thrusters was taken out and the ship veered steeply to one side.
Esk swore loudly.

"Ladies, I think we have a problem" He announced as his readouts displayed massive power loss. "I suggest you prepare to defend yourselves."

Silv sighed, grasping her hand together she slowly pulled it apart to show a micro tornado ball of air. "I'll try my best."

The three ships circles before releasing ropes that wrapped themselves around Esk's shuttle as one of them loomed closer and prepared themselves to board. As the two ships connected, there was a whirring sound as the door was melted off its hinges and fell forward. Almost immediately they were targeted and under fire by stun guns and tranquilizers, but mostly just stun guns.

Silv was able to, for afew minutes anyway use (stealing AtlA term ha) using airbending to turn the darts away and back at the attackers until one manged to make contact.

Esk took cover, drawing his gun and opening fire on the boarders. "Get down!" He yelled at the girls.

After the first wave of tranqs were flown back, the gunfire at first paused, but suddenly there were several clanks as two objects were grown in. One sent out a wave of anti-magic to disrupt whatever spell casting was being used while the other released heavy sleeping gas.

Dawn had gotten caught in the seatbelt's webbing when she tried to leave her seat, distracting her enough that she got hit with the dart during the first round of attacks.

Well luckily for them she was hit by a spare one making probably the rest easy catch

Esk covered his face with his arm, trying to fight on against the gas. But eventually it all got too much and he collapsed.

The three would wake up soon enough as they were dragged off the ship and the shuttle left to drift aimlessly in space. As they were apprehended in the scout ships and transported back to the main vessel, who cloaked itself again as they returned.

The three would wake up in separate cells. Esk and Dawn were adjacent to each other, but Silv was in a specialized cell opposite of them, chained and bound in metal to the wall, the cuffs decorated with runes and an anti-magic field in the room. Whoever was in charge would make sure the magic affirmative could not do a thing. All three cells were contained with steel walls and transparent force field doors.

Silv would groggily wake up, feeling a heavy weight on her joint she woke rapidly and yank at them panic rising as she let out this bird like screech that chickens made when trapped.

Dawn woke at the screech and blinked, looking around herself "Wha...? Where are we, what happened?" She asked, acting a lot like the human her people resembled.

Esk hissed as Silv started screaming. "Shut up, screaming isn't going to help." He growled, rubbing his temples. Well this day was just getting worse and worse wasn't it?

He tested the forcefields tentatively, fully expecting to get zapped.

And zapped he did. As his skin made contact a jolt of electric charge would race through his body until he let go. Soon enough a whirring sound was heard and the door opened to the four celled room, three occupants, leaving the final one barren. There was a female walking through first with a clip board furiously writing something down. She had blunt and small horns protruding from her head and pale blue skin, long and lithe, with dark hair and dark almond shaped eyes. She was speaking to the man that came after who was also of her species, except the horns were a bit larger, his form a bit leaner and bigger, and his skin a tad more cobalt. Matthew smiled maliciously as she spoke. Two floating robotic spheres entered right behind them.

"As per your new requested schedule, these three are marked for collaring within the next twenty four hours, Mister Blackwood. We still need to document their information though."

His face curled into distaste, "Nobody got that?" A shake of a head, and he growled, "I'll need to find out who's been slacking..."

"Magic...can't breath." Silv said in a panic tone as she gasp for air, she never had her abilities supress nor her connection like this cut off. It felt like she was a fish out of water gasping for air as her screeching stopped.

Dawn backed away from the two, watching them carefully but silently.

Back on the Silver Devil, there was tension reaching a head.
Luka wasn't in a good way anyway, but INSISTED upon remaining useful and continuing her job. She was however not at all willing to leave their crew mates to slavers.

She'd have to be relieved of piloting duties.

The Swarm was too busy arguing with themselves to get involved in any crew debates. Half of their number thought they should try to get help, the other half thought the captain's policy was right and they'd only get themselves killed or captured.

Luka wanted to punch things, and would retire to her room to cry in private, because she was in no way showing that sort of emotion around other people. She couldn't stop thinking about what those two girls were enduring. She'd found Dawn the easiest crew member to get along with, maybe even someone she could some day consider a friend. But now she was probably getting tortured, or worse. How could the captain just abandon them?

Acus stayed in the Pilot's room after Luka was relieved of her duty, each meal became a well heated arguement about the two females and the reminders of why the rules were in place.

Acus would enter with Dawn on the ship rubbing his face, Vicky nodded towards her, "Hey kid." She said with a weak smile.

Luka was up and about. Satare were tough, even after getting shot in the gut. She rushed to Dawn and pulled her into a hug. "You're safe, i'm so relieved you're safe!"

The Swarm nodded, it was a shame they lost the other girl, but the pandorian was safe, that was better than nothing.

Dawn smiled, returning the hug. "Hey, everyone." She said, looking around at everyone.
