Asher smiled a little. "Were they Drakkan androids? Or something else?" Drakkan androids were the only ones he knew of, but he supposed there might be a whole lot of other kinds out there. "I hope it's okay to ask. I'm just very curious about this subject," he added.

Nova shrugged then nodded "Some were, they were from all over. It's one reason our people were targeted, especially once our weaknesses were learned." She said quietly.

"Oh," Asher said softly, wincing with sympathy. Poor dragons, being targeted for being kind. It was such an unfair universe sometimes. "I'm sorry." There was a little part of the back of his mind that wanted to seek out those other androids now, but for the moment that was a pretty low priority.

"We got most of them safely away before the end, though some were taken with our people." Nova said and sighed. "I don't know what happened to them."

"It's a big, mysterious universe. There are a lot of places to hide," Asher said softly. He shook his head, "Another worry for another time, I suppose. I'm glad your kind helped them when you could."

Nova nodded then shrugged "If they are with the dragons still then they will be easy enough to find."

"I hope so. Maybe it's silly, but the idea of meeting other androids is thrilling," Asher said. He'd been too distracted at the Guild to really talk to Spring much, but the idea of similar species was exciting. "Which reminds me, how's the search for others of your species going? I know some of the dragons went along with Hytar when he left, to keep an eye on him."

"I haven't kept good track of that, Starr will know. I think one place has been taken over so far." Nova said with a shrug

Asher smiled softly. "Even one conquered slaver base is something to celebrate. I hope that mission has much good luck."

"As do I" Nova said and smiled softly. "Someday we may even get a world again."

"Now that'd be a sight to see," Asher said. "We got the chance to see a little of your old world on the way home from the other universe, and it was beautiful. I hope you'll get the chance to have a place like that again."

Nova smiled and looked to him at that "What was it like then?" She asked curiously. "I was a child the last time I was on our world."

"It was incredible," Asher said. "The castle was made of crystal, and there were farms and forests. The people all seemed happy, too." He didn't think he could do it justice with words, honestly. "I could show your pictures of it sometime, if you wanted," he said.

"That would be incredible to see the Crystal Palace as it once was." Nova said then chuckled softly. "Or any of our world really. I miss it."

"Remind me to show it to you sometime when we have a monitor handy, if I don't remember first," Asher said. He looked at Nova with sympathy, losing a homeworld had to hurt. "You'll have a place like that again," he told her. And this time your people will have the knowledge and the power they need to protect it."

Nova dipped her head then gave him a smile. "We can hope for both those to be true, though I am not so sure Starr would want to move to a planet if it meant leaving Vestia and the rest of you."

"I suppose that's true," Asher agreed. "It's going to be difficult for her, helping her people to have what they need, but also finding time for herself and her own plans. Maybe she'll be able to find a way to house the dragons, and still travel with us." He liked Starr, and he didn't want to see her leave Vestia, but he knew the dragons deserved a permanent home.

Nova tilted her head then sighed and looked around again "I am not sure if that is possible without staying on Vestia and making her our home."

Asher nodded. "Maybe. There are so many of your kind though, more than can fit on Vestia. Can your species create pocket realms?"

"Pocket realms are a disruption of space, it is possible and probably the safest way to create a world for ourselves. Such takes a lot of strength and many working together though." Nova said thoughtfully

"I imagine such a project would be difficult," Asher agreed. "Is it dangerous to change the fabric of space like that? I really don't know how magic works." He probably should have tried to study the basics when they were at the Guild, to understand the theory even though he'd never be able to use it himself, but he wasn't going to start now.

"It can create an imbalance that will lead to black holes and such. If it was easy, we would have done it long ago." Nova replied

"Maybe better not to risk it then," Asher said, shivering a little. "Sometimes I forget just how dangerous magic can be." Last thing they needed was to make a black hole, that'd be... pretty darn bad.

Nova smiled then shrugged "It helps that we can see space and where it would be alright to open it. It's dangerous, but possible."

"Well, that's something anyway." The thought of accidentally making a black hole was kinda unnerving to Asher, go figure. "It might be better to find or make a planet in normal space though," he added. "Not that I'm by any means an expert on this topic."

Nova nodded and chuckled softly "That is the original plan." She replied then shrugged a little "The problem is where, since our space was taken over.

"True." Asher shook his head. "It's a complicated situation. I hope that a good solution will be found." He was sure Starr could find a way, Starr was good at figuring things out.
