Satare Empire - Melanoc Lunar Colony

First topic message reminder :

One of the central lunar colonies orbiting the vast, water world Satare.

A farming colony, what isn't walled farmland is dense forest and woodland.
There are 12 moons in the sky, though not all are visible at any one time and the enormous blue ball that is the planet.

Don't go out after dark, there are monsters in the woods.

Jarral shook his head. "I do not know what is happening, that is what is so concerning." He sighed. "Fate will not allow the people to be harmed." He spoke softly, his tone suggesting he was really trying to convince himself of this.

Danica nodded, agreeing with him. "It wouldn't be good for her to lose all her people after all."

More days would pass, and still no news from Web or Kaliyani.

Jarral had exhausted their small supply of books and though he tried to help out around the place it became clear pretty quickly how weak and sickly he really was. He was easily exhausted, he couldn't really run and he found the daylight blinding which only made it harder for him to do much useful.

He spent his time tidying the house quietly, sorting and ordering the scattered things he found.

The Kalvair groundskeeper continued to work in the fields despite the rain and winds.

the weather didn't improve much.

Danica stayed close to Jarral, trying to help him and distract herself. She found things when she was out and about in the yard to bring to him even when he stayed inside away from the light.

It was such an isolated place out here, but at least it was mostly self sufficient.

Currently Jarral was sorting through boxes in the attic, searching for more books or something to pass the time and distract him from his worry.

(Question! Are there rats on the satare worlds? Lol)

Danica came in, looking around then heading up to find Jarral.

(also yes, there's rats and mice. They have most terran animals, just no cows or canines of any sort.)

Jarral had boxes around him and was quietly and efficiently sorting things into piles.

Thaila would be in the house, pregnant and pissy as she worked on making something edible for the kids. Her back hurt, she was sexually pent up and her ankles felt miserable as she shuffled around like a bloated ballon.

Danica saw him and went over to him "Hey Jarral, what are you doing?"

Bianca had met some other rats during an excursion outside the house, and had spent some time boxing and fighting with them, before they had decided to accept her as boss rat. She'd spent a lot of time since then hanging out with her rat friends and avoiding her humanoid ones, although she did reappear from time to time to visit with Moone and the dragons. Thankfully the other rats stayed away from the people, because they were probably a lot bitier than Bianca.

Currently Bianca was in the house, sniffing around near the cabinets in the kitchen. She smelled Thalia cooking something.

Jarral looked up. "I thought perhaps there may be more books up here, but so far all I have found are these." He indicated the sketchbooks. He'd also unpacked a lot of pots and pans and cutlery and sorted each into piles by shape. He didn't really know what most of it was but at least he knew all the forks looked the same.

Danica smiled and came over to him "Pots, pans, forks, spoons and sketchbooks." She said then held a hand out to him "I saw this and thought you might like it." She said, showing him the oddly shaped rock she had found and cleaned up.

Jarral looked at the rock, tilting his head as he reached up to take it. He didn't quite understand the gesture but he turned the thing over in his hands. "What is it for?" He asked. He knew rocks, his home world had a lot of rocks, but aside from hitting things with them or utilising their edges as blades, he wasn't certain what other uses one might have.

"Just to look at" Danica said with a shrug "It's pretty and different."

They could hear Thaila bang some pots around as she worked on some stew, these kids better eat it or else she was going to have a melt down. Why, why did matt have to push her through that damn portal. Ohhh once she gets her hands on him she was going to chew him a new hide.

Bianca jumped at the pot banging, but then scampered over along the floor, stopping near Thalia's feet. "What are you making?" she asked. She was a rat, her first thought was usually about food, okay?

"Stew, not much else you can make with what we have at the moment." She remarked, holding a sour look on her face.

"Are you alright?" Moone asked, coming tot he kitchen at the sound

"You seem angry about stew," Bianca remarked to Thalia. She peered vaguely in Moone's direction, "Oh hello."

Jarral could hear banging downstairs but he ignored it. He wasn't about to go investigate wierd noises.
"it looks like it has been in water for some time." He ran a finger over the smooth surface of the stone. He still looked bewildered as he handed the rock back to Danika.

"I'm more angry about other things but taking it out on the stew is the safest way." She remarked with a huff, looking at moone with visible look of distress. Thaila was not handling being separated from Matt at all, adding that she was a hormonal time bomb pretty much.

Bianca wandered over to Thalia's foot. "It's all right, your husband will return soon." Although Bianca's thoughts would sound nervous about that. She was a rat, and Matt had often mentioned eating rats, after all.

Jarral looked bewildered. "What will I do with it?" He asked.

Danica frowned a little and shrugged "It's just like a souvenir, or something to remember this place by."
