Hytar's Ship

Vicky was busy setting up her quarters, after some negotiations and the like she had join Hytar group for a while. Busily she set up her gaming system, though knew since the new upgrade she wouldn't be playing all night. While many races found sleep annoying she found it delightful being able to do it now.

Shane nodded and put the dagger away, back into hiding. He was ready to go

"Excellent," Tala said. She was happy to get to boss people around some more, and to carry out this mission. "We will attempt to take the guise of slavers, to obtain landing permission, I should think?"

Hytar nodded. "do what you mussst, we have sssshuttlesss, we can land ssseveral groupsss in different posssitions around the keep." He brought up a schematic taken from Swarm's description of the place and pointed out ways in.

Tala nodded. "Will the slavers here recognize you, your ship, or any of your crew? We do not wish them to immediately attack us."

"I get to be bait again?" Shane asked, though he was smiling at the possibility.

Hytar chuckled. "I would hope not. My usssual sssstrategy isss to leave no witnessssessss, I don't intend to sssstart sssshowing mercy now."

"yeah, as far as anyone knows, he's just a Lawyer." Eleven snorted.

"not JUSSST a lawyer my dear, never Jusssst." Hytar replied cooly.

"Shane makes fine bait, although the people of the Hold may be wary of tricks, since we used this ploy before when rescuing Starr," Tala said thoughtfully. "I cannot show my face, they will recognize me immediately. But if they don't know this crew, it may be possible to fool them into letting us in."

Hytar nodded. "you take your team thisss way." he pointed to the map. "take advantage of the dissstraction to sssneak in, take out anyone you ssssee on the way. Take Sssaira with you, ssshe can sssscramble their sssecurity feedssss on the move."

The grumpy girl nodded, yes, yes she could.

"We'll attempt to fool them into letting the sssship dock. You think you're up to that Mr Brightssstar?" Hytar glanced at Lope.

Lope nodded. "yes boss." Honestly in his current mood he was rather looking forward to blowing shit up and getting the ship close would let him do more damage. HAH.

"Jussst remember Mr Brightssstar, we will be inssside, don't go taking out life sssupport without my expressss command do you underssstand?"

"yes boss." Lope nodded again.

Tala nodded, looking at the map. "Excellent. How soon do we reach the hold?"

"two hoursss." Hytar stood up. "I sssuggessst everyone prepare."

Shane nodded, though he and Tala didn't have much to prepare.

Tala nodded. "I shall go and put on my armor then." She'd had the common sense to pack it in the pocket space Helen had made for her while they were back on Vestia. It was way too bulky to fit in her duffel bag, but it was way better than a bodyful of bullets. "Go forth and prepare, we shall soon bathe our hooves in the blood of our fallen foes!"

Everyone would prepare for the attack, putting on their armor, loading their weapons, or whatever else they needed to do. Tala took off her earring, and strapped on her armor, including her helmet, which covered most of her face and included some sort of magical hearing protection from the Guild, and got out her dakkon dagger and gun. She was ready, now she just had to stay out of sight until they were "safely" in Avolire Hold airspace.

She went to see what the others were doing. "Remember, Shane, to look drugged and confused!" She called cheerily.

Shane nodded and looked to Tala then back to the others. He had his armor on under his shirt, thankful for Armin making it for them. He even had fake cuffs he had made so he wouldn't need help getting out of them when the fighting started.

Avolire Hold saw Hytar's ship on their scanners, and started hailing.

Hytar prepped both the sneak teams, everyone was armed and ready to go.

Lope meanwhile put on his very best act and responded to the hold's hail, telling them they had "precious cargo" to unload and requesting permission to land and audience with their purchasers.
He'd done this before clearly, because he was pretty damn good at bluffing.

Meanwhile Hytar led the two away teams to the small shuttles. They were small, they should slip under any radar or sensors.

The guy Lope was talking to seemed kind of suspicious, but the promise of "precious cargo" made him finally let Hytar's ship through. It was pretty clear that the Hold was on high alert though, there were a number of guns trained on the ship, and possibly a couple of missiles locked on, too.

The ship did provide a great diversion, and the shuttles were able to sneak in without setting off any alarms. It someone would almost certainly spot them by the time they landed though.

Hytar remained in radio contact. "Remember, take out any guardssss before they can raissse the alarm, we want to get in and out asss fassst asss possssible."

Lope continued to talk, bringing the ship in to land but ready to take off again and start blasting if they needed to. Thankfully it was a very well shielded ship, but those missiles were concerning.

"Understood," Tala said, still sounding oddly cheerful. She looked around at her team, "We must be out of this shuttle as soon as we land, and kill every guard we see. Pilot! Land us with all haste. Shane! Be ready with your magics, but use them cautiously. We know know not whether they have magical alarm systems."

Shane nodded, standing ready to go. He was ready with his 'confused and disoriented' act if such was needed this time around.

The shuttle landed in a cloud of dust, and Tala gestured for everyone to get out and start picking off guards as fast as they could before the alarm could be sounded. Yay violence!

Meanwhile Hytar's ship was given clearance to land, and some guards came over to search the ship as soon as she landed. There were twenty guards this time, probably to make sure none of the crew of this much bigger ship could cause trouble.

The skeleton crew of Hytar's ship were well prepared for this. Lope put on his very friendliest face and the Valet Ariston welcomed the guards on board.

They intended to keep these guards on board for a long time, oh yes.

Ariston gave the guards the all clear, allowing them to examine every inch of the ship they wished to examine. They had, he claimed, nothing to hide.

The Technopath, Saira sat down and appeared to meditate, in reality she was carefully and quietly taking out each and every com device the guards had with her mind.

And of course, they needed a decoy, a reason for being here. Hytar's crew were an eclectic and varied bunch, many of them rather unique, but that wasn't what they were using as a bargaining chip. No, Hytar had a collection of objects he believed would be of equal interest to these slavers. Unusual devices of summoning and binding including shackles that could bind even a demon.

Ariston was small, but he had spent enough time around Hytar to be able to project that quiet confidence of a businessman.
He would play the role of captain for this little charade.

Hytar led the second group, hastily getting off their shuttle and making their way to their entrance, the service tunnels.

Eleven and Toby had ended up with Tala's team and they both efficiently picked off guards. Eleven rammed their talons into the stone walls of the keep and climbed up to tear any cameras or gun turrets from the walls while the others handled guards.

The guards searched the ship very thoroughly, trying to locate every single nook and cranny in the ship.

They tried to call in a magical objects expert, but the coms didn't seem to work. Hmm, this hull must be insulated pretty well.

A couple of them were suspicious of Saira's meditation. "What's she doing?" one guard barked.

Hytar's group wouldn't encounter too much trouble at first. The service entrances seemed to not be heavily guarded. However there were magical tripwires in the service tunnels, and those would need to be disabled, or else they'd set off the alarms.

The guards tried to put up a fight, some scrabbled for their coms, and a few even managed to rain down some bullets on the group, which produced an awful racket. They were all dead before long, but certainly someone would investigate the noise.

Once the guards were down, Tala led the group toward a side entrance to the building. "Shane, get the door open, and beware of traps," she ordered, almost quietly.

There were some warding spells on the lock that needed to be disabled safely. They'd melt your hand and set off an alarm if you touched the doorknob without disabling them.

Shane went over to the door, shifting so he could see the magic better then setting to work on disabling it for them.

The lock Shane was working on would give him some difficulty, the spell was designed to prevent magical tampering, but Starr had been a good teacher, so he could probably get it open without setting off that alarm.
There was a guard in the hall once Shane got the door open, and he looked pretty shocked to see a star dragon breaking in.

Shane growled when he saw the guard, making a rock then sending it at him like a bullet without a gun

"She doesn't particularly like guards." Ariston told the guards quietly. "we find it best to simply... leave her to it. It prevents an... irritating tantrum and shouts about people going through her belongings."

Saira, if she overheard, didnt' react. She just took a deep breath and continued to meditate.

Hytar had his team go slow, mindful of any security systems in place.
Swarm moved ahead of them, scouting out the tunnels and calling back any tripwires or blinking lights they saw.
One of Hytar's men set to work carefully disabling those traps they came across, or else finding an alternate route.

Eleven growled, eyes glowing red as they fought.

Toby was far quieter, fur bristling and tail twitching as she listened out for danger.
