Hytar's Ship

First topic message reminder :

Vicky was busy setting up her quarters, after some negotiations and the like she had join Hytar group for a while. Busily she set up her gaming system, though knew since the new upgrade she wouldn't be playing all night. While many races found sleep annoying she found it delightful being able to do it now.

"You are safe," Tala said, trying to make her thoughts sound reassuring since Ivor was probably hearing them all. "I will tell the others that I believe you both to be satisfactory." She really wasn't good at the whole being nice thing. Oops.

Ivor looked terrified. Silence grit her teeth and nodded to Tala.

Tala would leave the two, deciding she had learned all she could from them. Maybe she should have sent someone less scary to do the talking, hmm. Oh well.

Rigel nodded at that and finished reading then found a pen "Alright then." He glanced to the door to see if Tala was back yet.

Tala returned before too long. "They seem like they will not be of undue nuisance," she declared to the room at large. "I do not object to bringing them with us."

James frowned at Tala's lack of manners. Rude. Still, at least she was being careful?

Rigel chuckled and nodded "Then we will" He said, signing the contract.

Hytar looked pleased. "Exsscellent."

Lope looked to Tala. "Didn't freak em out too much I hope?"

Luka looked tense. "Where will you take the dragons you free?" She asked.

Hytar smiled. "Now I assssssume you will wish to meet with me again and take cusssstody of any rescued sssslavesss." He chuckled. "To enssssure they are all alive and well of coursssse."

Tala snorted. "I am certain they are fine, the girl will surely reassure the boy soon enough."

James glared. "You shouldn't terrorize people, Tala."

Tala flicked her tail dismissively. "A little fear is most excellent for the young. It teaches them prudence." She considered Hytar and Rigel, "You will deliver the slaves to Vestia?"

"The freed slaves," James corrected. "Heck yeah, let's get some star dragons on Vestia, Rigel!"

Hytar nodded. "Asss you wisssh. When I have them in my care I ssshall contact you to arrange the exchange. " He took the contract from Rigel and signed it himself with a flourish.

"No blowing things up with slaves still inside" Luka warned, yelping and looking a bit coy as Hytar's gaze fell upon her.

Hytar smiled. "Very well, we will sssave the explosssivesss for after they are free yesss?"

"Don't worry, we'll get as many people out as we can." Lope reassured her.

Luka didn't look reassured.

Rigel chuckled and nodded "Right, hopefully by the time we can meet up again, we will have a safe place for all of them to live." Even if they did have to go and make one.

"Maybe some of us should go along? To uh, make sure things go according to plan?" James suggested.

That made sense, Rigel looked around at the group and shrugged then looked to Hytar again.

"but who?" Luka asked.

Hytar sipped his coffee and looked smug. "Whatever makesss you feel better." Hey, if they wanted to put their lives on the line for a dangerous mission, it saved his guys having to get hurt right?
"I plan to leave come evening, you have till ssseven pm to make a dessscissssion. You can collect Ivor and sssilence then assss well if you wissssh." It gave the two a chance to say goodbye, not that they were overly close to the others but eh.

Tala nodded. "I do not wish to see this crew divided, but it may be wise to send someone along. More than one someone."

"I guess we'd better go talk it oe," James said. "Yay, meetings. Esk will be thrilled."

Rigel nodded and smiled "Yeah, let's go talk it out." He said, standing then nodding to Hytar "Until we meet again."

Hytar nodded. "Indeed."

Lope waved "See you later then?"

Luka nodded and stood. "thank you." She told Hytar politely. She glanced to Rigel, should they warn him about the keeper?

Rigel looked to the others then headed to the door. He would talk to them at the ship. He planned to send a dagger with whoever went with this group.

Tala followed Rigel.

James hung back to wave to Lope. "See ya, man!" He smiled at the others of Hytar's crew, "Thanks for letting us visit." He followed his crew.

Lope waved back.

Hytar just sipped his coffee.

Luka and Swarm followed Rigel out.

Lope had been doing some work on the engines and returned to the room he was currently sharing with Vicky so he could grab a shower.

He would find vicky curled up on the bed, idyll scrawling the knife over her skin flinching in pain. Esk blood would be on her hand that was used to punch him, she seem to not even acknowledge lope was in the room.

Lope's eyes widened as he realised what Vicky was doing and he rushed ot her side, trying to grab the knife off her. "Vicky! No!" he had no idea the black stuff on her was blood, it looks like ink or oil to him.

Vicky stubbornly try to yank her hand from him, but the fire seemed gone her eyes. Softly she was mumbling to herself over and over. "Esk right..." plus some words that were hard to make sense but im jest was reinforcing his statement of another failed relationship to come because of her own foolishness.

Lope got the knife away from her and set it on a side table faaar from her reach before trying to find something to bandage her wounds with. At least cyborgs couldn't bleed to death, right?
He sighed. Esk huh? The ex?
He tried to focus on her and not the knot in his gut at what she was saying.

"Vicky, vicky please." He reached out a grease stained hand to stroke her face, forgetting how filthy his hands were. "Vicky, come back to me." He tried to get her to make eye contact.

She stubborn jerk her head away, "D-don't... before I ruin this too don't..." Vicky sobbed, curled up.
