Upon Vestia: Chapter Eighteen

(Starts on day six at the Guild of Scribes.)

Esk looked like he was thinking it over for a few minutes. "Listen, Shit happens, to absolutely everyone and it solves nothing to sit and wallow in that misery. It doesn't change anything. The past is past, it's ugly and crappy and awful but you can't go back and fix any of it. You can only move forward. You're the only one who can pull yourself out of this. You managed to lock it away before, you can do it again. You can find some... outlet that's at least half way healthy. Working yourself to exhaustion isn't helping and you know that." He sighed. "I can't tell you what to do but... I made a vow to keep this crew safe and yeah, that means even from their own self destructive crap. " His expression softened slightly. "Dawn, you're tough. You're damn better than this." He shook his head. "So pull yourself together for fuck's sake. I can't keep playing therapist to all of your damn shattered psyches."

"Locking it away did not make it go away" Dawn said quietly then set the cup on the table and drew her knees up, still under the cover. She sighed and settled her head on her knee, looking at him again "By the way, you are a horrible therapist" She said then tossed a small pillow at him, a smile tugging at her lips again.

Esk snickered and dodged the pillow. "Thanks." He picked it up. "Make sure you tell my brothers that will you? they seem under the delusion i'm good at this kind of crap." He tossed the pillow back. "I should let you get dressed. Try not to have a total breakdown okay? With Kay and Asher playing happy families you and James are the main medics and James is seriously just so so useless." He snorted. "Also, Sawna opened a coffee shop so yeah.. there's.. that. Too busy pouring drinks now for her to be much help." He smirked. "Maybe we should encourage people to hurt themselves just to keep you busy." He was probably joking, it was really hard to tell with Esk.

Dawn snorted and shook her head at all of that then nodded "Maybe I'll go check it out later. Good thing no one has gotten seriously hurt lately." She said then looked to Esk again "I'm doing my best not to breakdown on everyone" She added seriously.

Esk nodded. "I know." He turned to leave. "See ya later okay? Don't make me come back in here and lecture you more, it's weird."

"Well, then don't come just because I oversleep" Dawn grumbled then chuckled softly Yeah, she liked that he cared enough to come see her.

Esk snickered. "I'll get Vestia to set up a wakeup call, blast loud music or something till you get your lazy ass outta bed." He left her to it. At least she seemed to have stopped moping now. That was something.

Dawn shook her head and looked over to the camera "You wouldn't do that, would you?" She asked then got up to shower and get dressed for the day.

The camera tilted innocently. "Not unless you seem comatose," Vestia said.

Dawn chuckled at that "Fair enough I suppose" She said and finished getting ready, taking the coffee cup and heading out to check on this cafe thing.

Esk went to check on Acus, because if he was doing the whole mental health rounds he might as well. No coffee though, Acus was still an asshole so he didn't get coffee HAH.

(Are there any more things we need to do today? We have baby dragons talking now and Sawna has her coffee shop, so that's the big ones I remember done. I might be forgetting something though, haha)

(I don't think we had anything big planned. Well, I didn't lol. Not till full moon day bwhahahahahaha )
