Upon Vestia: Chapter Twelve

"Yep, all alone on a desert planet with a weird bird." Ellie scowled, "False gods. So gross. I hope all immortals die soon." She paused, "Umm, well, I hope the immortals I like stick around for a while longer though."

Asher stopped lazing about the shuttles and read Vestia's impressive shopping list off his tablet. He was going to need to transport a lot of stuff, far more than any one person could carry, which meant hiring a grocery delivery transport crew, most likely, which was expensive. Darn.
Unless...

He got directions from Vestia, and went to the galley to find Matt.

Third had followed in behind Matt, not meeting Vanessa's eye, who merely shook her head, grabbed a breakfast crepe plate, and left. The lack of presence caused the fox to relax a bit, and he tilted his head slightly at Ellie, "Well? After this week I'm sure we could demonstrate to Matt about how you became a ghost." He grinned again.

"Hey man, don't ghost Ellie. She's much more useful and fun solid." Matt snickered, winced, snickered again. "That came out so wrong.. I regret nothing." He got some food for Third too.

He looked up as Asher walked in. "Hey...? " Weird, the android didn't tend to come in here.

Mourn looked up. "ROBOT! I almost finished! Have done by afternoon, find brother, give copy too."

Ellie smirked. "Next time I'm gonna OWN being a ghost. You can't scare me."

"Thank you so much for doing this," Asher told Mourn. He smiled at Matt, "I suppose you're probably still pretty hung over, but if you're feeling better later, I could use your unique abilities for grocery shopping."

Matt grinned at Asher. "Lemme guess, you need me to haul large quantities of stuff? Sure. I gotta teach my young apprentice here in the great and mystical art of janitorial duty first though." He wriggled his fingers dramatically.

"After yesterday, I've begun to truly appreciate the amount of storage space you must have at your disposal," Asher said, amused. "There's no rush, whenever you're ready, we can go, or you don't have to go at all if you'd rather not."

"Nah it's fine, i'll tag along. I need to pick some stuff up anyway." Matt shrugged and went back to eating. "Come get me in a few hours. "
He looked to third. "and whenever you're ready to start, we can go... pretend like we actually do something important around here." Matt chuckled.

"See you then," Asher said with a smile. He left the organic beings to eat their breakfasts in peace.

Third snorted, eating his food with small closed-mouthed chews, which must have looked uncanny. He finally nodded, "We can start once we have finished eating."

"No, I have vials." Starr said then dipped her head a little "I do tend to do a lot of research when I find something challenging."

Kay smiled softly and nodded. [Alright then. Please Starr, be careful. And try not to pull another all nighter. ]

Matt would finish up his breakfast then, letting third eat in peace.

"I want to come too." Shane said, looking to Matt then grinning "I would love to see how much you can carry in your pockets"

Starr dipped her head and smiled a little "I will try, but I can't promise."

"Oh man, I once got a whole photocopier. It was awesome. I.. don't remember where i left it." Matt shrugged.

[Then i'll have to visit you come evening with hot chocolate and a stern go to sleep lecture prepared.] Kay told her with a smile.

"I'll be staying here, I gotta do some garden stuff," Ellie told the others, taking her bowl up to the counter. "Someone get me a picture of him sticking a photocopier or something in his pocket, okay?"

Matt grinned and shrugged. "Well I would.. but the big boss security guy said he'd break my hands if I stole anything else so... yeah.. I like my hands, they're useful."

"Okay, you can demonstrate when you get back then," Ellie grinned. "I don't wanna put your hands in danger."

"Wise lady." Matt nodded carefully so as not to hurt his head, and brought his plate over to the counter. "I like all my bones intact thank you very much."

Star smiled and nodded cheerfully "I would look forward to that." She said then turned to go "Well, the hot chocolate, not so much a lecture"

Shane laughed and looked to Matt then back to Ellie "I can get a picture of all the supplies he puts in there. That won't be stealing, since it'll be paid for."

Kay smirked. [My lectures are to be feared, apparently anyway. ] He nodded. [Take care Starr, and.. thank you, for even attempting this. It means a lot to know someone cares so much.]

"heck yeah." Matt grinned. "reappearing stuff is way more impressive though. But they took all my junk when i got arrested. Bah."

"Good plan," Ellie said approvingly to Shane. "Rest in peace, Matt's junk," she added tragically.

Starr smiled again and waved to him then headed back to her shuttle to get to work again.

Shane shook his head a little then shrugged "Well, at least you have it cleaned out, so now you can fill the space again."

"yeah, thankfully they let me keep the stuff I said was actually mine. Oh.. and yeah, you'll probably see him before I do so... " He dug that paperback book out of nowhere and tossed it to Ellie. "This is Kay's, I kinda.. accidentally picked it up" And may have opened it to a page to an unexpected sex scene and run away... yes <_< >_> waaay too much insight into his brother's private life... shudder. "Can you get it back to him? He'll just get grumpy with me about taking his stuff anyway."

Ellie caught the book with minimal fumbling, and glanced at the cover. She barely managed to not laugh. "Okay, I'll make sure he gets it back," she said.

Though the title was written in runes, but you just KNEW it had some terrible title, it had to be something terrible.

Matt snickered. "My brother's books are awful. So... so awful." Oh man, now he was having flashbacks. Argh!

"Fox dude! You done eating? Let's go clean stuff and act like we're productive members of society." Matt popped a couple more painkillers because these things were weak as hell and his head still hurt.

"Yes." The fox said, picking up the plate with his mouth and hopped onto the table to be high enough to dispose of it. "Let us be off."

Shane looked to the book curiously because that just sounded wrong.
