Upon Vestia: Chapter Eleven

She blinked and nodded, "Yea...?"

They would find heny trying to put on banaids with her cast hand, she looked up and arched a brow at the two, "Where you guys been?"

Asher smiled. "Just doing some paperwork. What happened to your hand?" he asked.

"I was picking up some paper and managed to get some cuts." She sighed, glaring at them both. "then why are your clothing a mess?" Even new heny wasnt a idiot.

Kay tried so hard not to look coy or amused at Asher's explanation. He went over to her to look at what she'd done this time. [Didn't I tell you not to use your hands?] He looked stern.
Yeah he wasn't answering her questions.

Asher got some supplies for Kay, so he could clean the cuts.

"It was just paper." She said in defense, "Not my fault someone made a mess in the craft room."

[What were you doing in the craft room?] Kay asked, nodding thanks to asher and gesturing for Heny to show her cuts. [Get Matt to clear up, it's his job after all. ] Kay smirked. [He may as well earn his food and board right?]

"I was getting bored..." She muttered while showing her hands, "Figure I do something crafty."

[Not so easy to do when you barely have use of only one hand] Kay shook his head, disinfecting the teeny cuts and applying the bandaids for her. [May I suggest something a little less hands on?]

"What?" She snorted, flinching slightly. "Merith been less social, almost hiding really.." She held this worried look.

Kay frowned, eugh.. Merith. [Certain he's not just sulking? He seemed fairly irritated we didn't pay his antics much mind. I got the impression he was hoping for a more violent or horrified reaction from me. ] Kay shrugged, honestly he struggled to feel particularly worried about Merith. He didn't like the guy and found his behavior more frustrating than concerning.

"No...he been talking about not fitting in." She sighed

Kay raised an eyebrow. [Shock said something similar. Perhaps if they attempted to integrate they'd fit in better. Forgive me if I can't feel particularly sympathetic for two individuals who have made every attempt possible to instead alienate and isolate themselves. ] He felt a slight stab of guilt at those words, they HAD invited him to join them for a drink after all. Maybe he should have made more effort to return the favor but honestly he found the two of them extremely difficult to deal with. [Perhaps we need another celebration, get people talking and interacting better. It's too easy to fall into little groups and ignore those outside of it. ]

She nodded in agreement, "Yea, maybe the whole ship needs it." She smiled.

Kay nodded. [This ship always needs cheering up. Sadly.] He smiled softly. [You're free to go if you want, just try to avoid using your hand too much. ]

She smirked, playfully sticking her tongue out. "Make me."

It was weird that Heny was actually staying in the med bay of her own free will now. Asher found it weird, but also kind of nice. "Gonna stay and have us teach you to be a medic?" he asked, amused.

Kay rolled his eyes. [Make you leave or make you stop using your hands? I could always wrap the other one in a cast too.] He smirked. Oh it was nice to have this Heny back, also nice she appeared no longer terrified of the medical room. His discomfort with her reprogramming aside, it was lovely to be able to have this kind of conversation with her again.

"You wouldnt dare." She smirked, grinning softly. "And I may need that asher...but wouldn't want to be in your way with "paperwork"." She snickered.

Asher smiled innocently. "We don't have that much paperwork. We're very efficient, you know."

Kay covered his mouth with his hand and looked away, trying so hard to keep his cool. Damnit you two, damnit. He flushed a little, gah.

Once he'd composed himself he wrote. [I would dare. You forget, i'm the mean one.]

She snickered sweetly at Asher, "I bet you two are, but you guys enjoy that stuff too." She innocently batted her eyes. "Oh kay, your just a teddy bear with fangs." She smirked.

Kay shot her a strange look at that remark. But he shrugged. [Consider yourself warned, continue to use your hands before they're healed and I will immobilize them both. You'll have to learn how to do things using your feet instead which I hear is extraordinarily difficult.] And when it came to not being able to use both hands, he knew all about it. Stupid true form, gah.

"And we both know someone would take pity of the pregnant woman." She grinned.

Asher grinned. "Don't mess with Kay, Heny. I can't protect you from his wrath, even out of pity for you." He looked at Kay in mock nervousness, "He's scary."

Kay looked amused. [I'm surprised you've not been taking more advantage of your condition. Make sure to really emphasize that it's twins as well, for maximum guilt and obligation.] Not that this would work on him, nope.
He nodded to Asher. Damn right.

"Isnt it always the shortest half of a pair the scariest?" She grinned.
