Upon Vestia: Chapter Ten

Matt pulled him into a tight hug. "it's okay..." He sounded more like he was trying to reassure himself.

"Only thing I can think of is revenge for my escape." She sighed, shaking her head, "I ruined their plans of creating a fully curupt Avian Vessel.

This time the wolf wouldn't even stir or make any sound, it was completely out cold, breathing shallow.

"mm, yep, sounds like their sort of proportionate response." Matt scoffed bitterly. "Wonder what's next on their to do list, kill a few suns maybe?" He sighed. "They'll be after us again soon enough won't they? If they can go against a so called goddess, we're screwed."

Starr got Kay back to his cell and asked Vestia to run a scan on him to be sure he wasn't hurt

Vestia would scan Kay. It wouldn't be as accurate as a medical scan, but it would show anything obviously wrong with him.

Merith watched all of this in silence. An emerald green orb hovered next to him. Vanessa and her Keeper seemed to be discussing something in silence as Merith's eyes flashed different emotions. He nodded. There conversation remained to themselves. A black-and-cyan simplí also hovered next to him, albeit it it seemed a bit wobbly, as if dazed. Nightshade was having trouble being able to handle so much arcana and energy in one room. It was quite difficult.

Kay's life signs were stable enough, at least he wasn't about to die or something. But his body had been put under a great deal of stress. His blood pressure was up, his respiration down but he was breathing steadily and his heart was beating, just a bit harder than it really should have been.

He was out cold, and not because of the drugs. Though certainly they hadn't helped matters.
Still, there was no internal bleeding and no injuries, all those broken bones seemed to be able to heal themselves extremely efficiently.

Vestia would report all that to Starr. It wasn't worth reporting Kay's condition to Asher until the morning since Kay was still a werewolf, so she didn't.

Starr sighed and nodded "Can you keep an eye on that and let me know if anything changes? I need to work on his amulet so he can be himself in the morning."

"Will do," Vestia said to Starr, sounding almost cheerful.

Starr nodded and returned to her shuttle to work on the amulet

Kay would just stay unconcious till morning, he wasn't going to do much of anything.

The creator sighed, "Indeed.."

Matt lapsed into bitter silence, he wasn't about to leave the side of the two Avian's though, he'd told them he was going to stay and he would stay damnit.

Mourn figured he wasn't needed now, and went to go find Skye and fill her in on anything she didn't already know.

Skye had started for the ballroom again when she was informed that everyone had gone to the med bay, so she changed direction to head there, stopping when she saw Mourn in the hallway.

Asher finished patching up the Creator, and looked at Matt. "You should rest," he told Matt softly.

Matt shook his head. "I told them i'd stay with them." He looked at Asher stubbornly. "I'm not going anywhere till they wake up and I know they're both okay. And... who the girl is and where she's meant to be. "

Mourn would fill Skye in on what was going on, what the creator had said, Matt's fears, the two avians.
"Sounds like fireworks delayed." He shrugged.

"Then sleep here," Asher said with a sigh. "I don't sleep, and I'll be staying here for the rest of the night, so you might as well."

Skye nodded with a frown "Thanks for coming to tell me" She said and gave him a quick hug before heading for the med bay "I should let her know the kids are asleep in my room so she doesn't worry"

"Her name is Silv, a tier one Vessel; element air. She was from the tribe T'shk. She was top of her class." The creator said softly, she knew every vessel that came to the temples to be taught, she always made sure to. "Her tribe was destroyed in the civil war."

Matt nodded grimly to Asher, he wanted to ask about his brother, who was watching him, but there were too many people around.

"She has to have a crew, or a home... people looking for her." He had no idea who she was, he'd been kept well away from the slavers after all.
"I don't think i'll sleep Asher." He sighed. "I knew the moon was a bad omen. Don't worry about me, this is nothing new"

Mourn blinked at the hug, shrugged again and went to one of the observation decks to watch the stars.
Where out there had Avia been? He frowned, another planet gone. He'd never really given much thought to precisely what had happened with the last planet, the one that had killed most of his crew. He found somewhere to sit, pulling his knees up and resting his chin on them as he finally felt after all these months, the first proper pangs of grief.

"Supposely she traveled with a black skin named Acus but from what I learned she swapped crews." Creator sighed.

Asher sighed. "Matt, you really should consider resting. Can we talk in the hall for a moment?"

Matt nodded and reluctantly left his post.

Hey,the bird folk weren't going anywhere and neither was their goddess.

"Sure." He'd follow Asher into the hall.

Skye looked to Asher and Matt as they came out, giving them a small smile then going into the med room and over to the goddess to see if she was awake.

Asher nodded to Skye and waited until the door had closed, then told Matt quietly, "I know you're worried about Kay. He's all right, Starr is with him, and she knows how to stay clear if anything goes wrong." He sighed, "And you're worried about these people, but they're safe enough for now, and you can help them better if you're rested."

She looked at Skye smiling, "Are they fairing well?" She asked.
