Upon Silver Devil: Chapter Two

Deeply Acus sighed as he paused and turned around, arms crossed. "Yes?"

"Shitty... Havent had a drink in over 24 hours thank to you two." He grumbled, ah yes the captain was under redrawal too.

Dawn came in and smiled at him though she didn't like his answer to James "We had to make sure you wouldn't use that to do something irreversible."

"He means booze. I've been giving him water," James said, coming into the room and letting the door swing shut. "Feel lucky, Acus, I've had to go without booze my whole life."

"I know that James" Dawn said gently and looked to Acus, going to him to check his vital signs

"Oh good. Because I wasn't sure, and if you thought I was just giving him orange juice or milk and no water at all, that would be not so good," James said nervously.

He was better, abit sluggish at the moment. "Mm, will I be able to have some today?" He huffed.

"Nah, man. You're gonna have to try and cope with this. First Law won't let me let you near that stuff," James said apologetically. Yay for the First Law! Nobody could argue with a robot once he pulled out that shiny card.

Dawn looked to James and smiled a little, shaking her head then looking back to Acus "You are still sluggish, not back to the normal for your people, we can try for tomorrow for a limited amount of liquor."

James gave Dawn an uncertain look. Letting Acus drink, even just a bit, seemed like a slippery slope to him.

After a few hours of sleeping or at least trying to, Esk felt a little less awful and got showered and dressed. Dry clothes this time, stupid android.

He kept thinking about those bounty hunters Vicky had attacked, no doubt they were after Acus, Silv and Vicky too. Idiots didn't even realise the person attacking them WAS one of their bounties. Morons.
He was curious though, if they knew SD was here, others would come. Smarter ones.
What was the bounty still on them? Did he have one on his head now too?

He decided to go find out.

It wasn't like finding out bounties was that difficult in places like this. He headed out to go find a little more information. If they all had a price on their heads, he wanted to know the exact price, it would give a good idea of the sort of assholes who'd come after them all. With Avia gone, he was also curious what that meant for Acus' crimes.

SLIGHT TIMESKIP

James looked at Dawn after they left Acus. "Wanna go look around the space station? We can drag along Luka too, she isn't hung over, so she'll be fun to hang out with."

Dawn smiled at that and nodded "That would also let everyone who is hungover sleep it off without us rattling around in here." She said with a nod.

James nodded happily. "Fewer grumpy people is always good." He looked up and down the halls. "Luka's probably in the cockpit, let's go there first."

Dawn nodded and headed to check there for Luka

"Hey Luka, you in here?" James called.

Luka looked up from her book. "What is it?" She asked, smiling softly at the two of them.

"We were wondering if you would like to come out on the station with us" Dawn said with a smile

James looked hopeful. "It'll be more fun with three of us."

Luka set her book down. "Sure, why not?" She got up and joined them. "What were you planning?"

Dawn shrugged "Whatever we find" She replied then grinned "Just fun"

"Well as long as it doesn't result in hangovers like the others, i'm game." She laughed. "How miserable are they all?"

"They're all wrecked," James said dryly. "It's both funny and sad."

"No, I don't like drinking" Dawn said then shrugged and turned to go "Come on, let's see what we can find to entertain ourselves."

"Why sad?" Luka asked curiously as she followed.

"Because i feel sorry for them," James said. "Man, it is good to not have pain receptors."

Vicky BTW would be happily raiding the food while the others doze.

"I can see that having benefits. " Luka agreed. "Don't feel sorry for them, they did it to themselves."
