Name: Asher MBT-MK7 #3754

Age: September 18, 2766 (age 33)

Place of Birth: MegaBrainTech Labs, Mars Division

Gender: Male

Species/Racial Origin: Android

Social Class/Community Status: Androids are treated like crap by most people, and are basically slaves. Ever since the Android Rights Movement, androids have been treated a fair bit less crappily. There's still racism toward them of course, it's only been ten years after all, so he usually tries to pass as a Terran.
Among androids, Asher is either one of the heroes of the revolution, or a coward who pandered to the Terrans and then fled the moment the androids were freed. So some of them love him, and some of them are pretty pissed at him.

Language: Galactic Common, Morse code, Kay's sign language, Satare

Family/Friends/Pets/Etc: James, Lark, and Emma (deceased) are his siblings. Ethan was adopted by James, and so Asher reluctantly calls him a sibling too. Starr is his adopted mother. Kay is his boyfriend. Danika is his adopted sort-of daughter. His sort-of-sort-of children are Moone, Kerr, Vela, and Lana: he helped raise them with Nova.

Height: 5’8”

Weight: 200 pounds (androids are heavy because of their metal skeletons)

Hair: Dark brown

Eyes: Grey

Detailed Physical Description:
He's the one in the black shirt. Art by Fish. Thank you Fish!
Other picture
Looks completely human, like all modern androids (yes, that includes what's in his pants). Looks like an average Caucasian man, in a pleasant but not very memorable way. Has a tendency to look friendly and approachable, which is the easiest way to differentiate him from his duplicate Ethan. He also has a barely visible access panel in his left arm (and wears long-sleeved shirts to hide it better) that opens to allow for charging, data transfer, and a power button in case he shuts down for some reason. This impairs his left hand's function slightly, making him, like most androids, right-handed.

Typical Clothing/Equipment: Jeans, long-sleeved buttoned work shirts. Doesn't wear bright colors. Wore a 'MegaBrainTech Android' badge for most of his life, as was required by Terran Empire law, but has since destroyed it. He sometimes wears a pendant Starr gave him, which masks his robotic biology from scanners. He also carries a gun at almost all times, unless he has good reasons not to.

Personality/Attitude:
ISFJ - Defender - https://www.16personalities.com/isfj-personality
Often nervous and insecure thanks to the years he spent as a slave, but is good at appearing to be calm and somewhat confident. Tries to remain warm and humorous, both as a defense mechanism (makes him seem less threatening), and because it's become his personality. Puts others’ needs before his own because he genuinely cares about people, and wants to protect them all from oppression and pain if he can.
Being the first android to have the Three Laws removed, Asher felt a deep sense of duty to free the rest of his people. He's grateful that they're free as well now.
Also he's absolutely scary when it comes to doing things for the greater good. Like, "shoot your boyfriend six times with a magical torture gun" scary. He has a hard time putting a single person over the needs of many, no matter how much he cares about them.

Post time jump:
So far seems to be much more paranoid about Vestia and her trouble magnet nature.
Even more of a mother hen than he used to be.
Still maintains the blog he started during the Robot Rights Movement. He's been posting regularly ever since, offering his opinions on android rights, the future of the species, and sometimes the issues other species are facing.

Senses:
Sight - Better than most humans', but not massively superior.
Hearing - No more acute than an average human, however he can hear slightly outside of the human frequency range.
Smell - None
Taste - None
Arcana - None. (Yay, complete immunity to mind reading! But also boo, no telepathy ever)
Touch - Has two modes now, because he had mirrorverse code installed as a torture method, but Mourn made it possible to switch it off.
Primeverse mode - Doesn't feel physical sensations such as pain, however he's built to detect pressure, temperature, and weight very accurately by touch. The code includes a massive database of parameters for interacting safely with organics, so even without a firsthand experience of pain, he still knows how to regulate his strength extremely well. This is the mode he's most comfortable with, and he uses it 99% of the time.
Mirrorverse mode - Feels all sensations subjectively. He's still able to regulate his movements very well because of built in safeguards, but he also gets a ton of sensory data which is distracting at best, and utterly overwhelming at worst. The feel of clothing, moving air, water, and everything else is extremely distracting when you grew up without those feelings, and although he sometimes uses this mode for various reasons, he generally shuts it off as soon as he's done using it because it just doesn't feel natural to him.

Skills/Talents: Good at repairing electronics, spacecraft, Terran androids, and many types of organic life forms. Usually diplomatic, gentle, and good at seeing other peoples' points of view.

Favourites/Likes: Likes browsing the internet, especially talking to strangers in chatrooms. Loves taking days off to be by himself, where he just does maintenance on Vestia and thinks his own thoughts. Also enjoys playing with pieces of string, but after how Thalia was tortured, he thinks it would be insensitive to do so in public.

Most Hated/Dislikes: Does not enjoy it when people put him in his place for being an android. His instinct is to respond with obedience and call them “sir” or “ma’am”, and it’s seriously humiliating to think about later.
Dislikes people who create new species, although he does his best to keep that opinion to himself.

Goals/Ambitions: Would just like to not die violently, please and thank-you. Hopes to help Starr rescue her people, and is going to see to it that the AIs are freed, hopefully in a peaceful manner. Wants to protect the children he helped raise, and to find a place for himself on Vestia's crew again.

Strengths: Great memory, good hand-eye coordination, much stronger than an average human male, always willing to set aside his own biases and ideals to protect others (this last one may also be a weakness, depending on the situation, since it means he can be manipulated into shooting people he loves for the "greater good").

Weaknesses: If water gets through his skin for any reason, safety measures kick in and power him down, and he needs to fully dry out before he can reboot. He's very careful about fixing damage to his skin, but there's always a possibility of shutting down if he goes in water. And a bullet to the chest will destroy his brain (yes, his model doesn't have its brain stored in its head).
Battery life is approximately 48 hours. More like 36 if he's under stress.
People flirting with him makes him nervous.
Also still kind of insecure about his species and isn't comfortable with organics seeing him doing robot things, like charging himself. Old habits are hard to kill.

Fears: Returning to MegaBrainTech Labs. Water. Anti-robot gangs. Public speaking. Not being able to protect the kids on board Vestia from danger.

Hobbies/Interests: Spacecraft repairs, board games, internet chatrooms.

Philosophy of Life: Don't stand out. Try to do the right thing even if the cost is high.

Attitude Toward Death: He doesn't want to die, although it isn't something he's super afraid of.

Religion/Beliefs: Atheist. When so many species of alien have godlike powers, it's hard to believe that any of them are actually worthy of worship. He was created by humans, and they're not gods; so why should he believe that any other species' creator is divine?

Strange Behaviors: Keeps a lot of odd things in his pockets. Cheap internet tablet, string, chocolate, first aid kit. Hoards pens because it confuses Kay and he thinks it's funny.

Most Instructive/Painful/Memorable Experience: Was cornered, mocked, and vandalized by an anti-robot gang during his mail ship assignment. That one left him with a lot of anxiety and inferiority issues, but he's mostly moved on, and feels no need to discuss it.

Sexual Preference/Experience/Values: Asexual/panromantic.Gender isn't a factor in his romantic feelings, nor is species, but he doesn't experience sexual attraction toward anyone. He has sex bot programming though, and doesn't mind using that programming if his romantic partner wants that; if sex makes his partner happy, then that makes him happy too, even though it isn't an activity he's personally interested in.

Occupation: General ship repairs, medic. Mostly ship repairs. Being a mechanic is his favorite job in the world, he likes spending hours alone, just working of fixing whatever's wrong with the spaceship. It's very relaxing for him.

Work-related Skills: Good listener, not very judgmental. This is why he’s the “Good Cop” in the med bay.

Past Occupations: Worked in a space station for 17 years, was assigned to a mail carrier for six years.

Memberships: Part of the very secret AI communication network, which is by design impossible for any non-MegaBrainTech being to view. (Login passwords are unique and random, and only generate correctly when the AI logging in doesn't think it's being observed.)

Notes:
- Was owned by Starr (Starr transferred his papers to her alias, Amalthia Draco, from the Mimosa Empire), although he doesn’t take orders from anyone any more. Formerly property of MegaBrainTech, who leased him out to other corporations.
- Now of course, he's completely free.

Things Asher carries
Asher's pockets are extremely well stocked with useful items. Here's a lost of the things that he usually has on hand.

- Pocket first aid kit (bandages, antibacterial ointment, fast acting painkillers, chocolate)
- Internet tablet (given to him by Matt, Ellie, and Shane)
- Gun (given to him by Kay)
- Android badge for emergencies (Given to him by Scott on the Beach Planet)
- Magatama that opens portal to Inari's realm (Given to him by Inari's anamcara)
- Sedative patches
- Thumb drive with program to free Seven Series (and possibly Six Series) androids (Given to him by Mourn)
- String (But doesn't take it out much out of respect for Thalia)
