"That assessment seems accurate," Asher agreed. He rolled up his sleeve and opened the maintenance panel on his arm, so he could plug his video output into a monitor. "Oh, in case you were starting to trust us, I should add that your species can change its appearance, so you'll look different in some of these memories."

She arched a brow, "Change form..?"

"I don't know how it works, but your species, the Keepers, can consciously select their shape. You usually did it to hide from enemies." He selected a memory of Heny at the market, refusing to use a wheelchair. "This is what you looked like when I met you. You can tell it's you, because she's being an obstinate nuisance."

She rolled her eyes, " no she is not being a weak link in the chain" she countered

Asher closed his eyes for a long moment, seeking patience. "And that's how she--you--ended up in a coma." He replayed a few choice moments of her fainting from overexertion for emphasis.

She snorted, "How do I know this isn't all fake? "

"I wish there was a good way to convince you," he said sadly. "In the Terran Empire, synthetic intelligences like myself are considered to be some of the most trustworthy sources of evidence in court, because our memories are impossible to modify, and can only be completely destroyed. Of course, that means nothing to you, because I could be lying." Glancing around to be sure none of the others were watching, he sent a still image of Heny and her family onto the monitor for a few seconds. He hoped that would at least spark some amount of recognition in her mind.

Merith watched Heny fall on the moniter, having followed the group out of mild interest. A spark seemed to rest in his eyes, and though the emotion was unnamed, it did seem to be a negative quality. He leaned on the side of the wall and folded his arms, grinning. "What a dramatic scene, Dear Heny. To think the woman who had done that had been so cocky the last time I had seen her... Wait, nothing has changed. Can't expect anything less." He smirked and chuckled, the original spark now hidden behind coy banter.

Heny balled her fist, a seething rage boiling in her as she couldn't understand why he enraged her so, "Go to hell.."

"We aren't in your home, Sir," Asher said icily, turning to look at Merith, "So I humbly request that you cease to torment Heny now."

Starr had followed, but had gone to the cockpit to sit there. She watched the two quietly, though she wasn't where she could see the diaplay to give them the privacy they needed.

(I may be having a little too much fun.)

"Don't short circuit yourself, android." Merith chuckled, shrugging off Asher as if he mattered little to him. "It'd be unbecoming. Anyway, it's not if I'm legitimately hurting her. The woman can handle herself."

Unfortunately for Merith his behavior towards Asher was Heny last straw as she decked his perfectly handsome face in seething annoyance and rage, "I don't know why I despise you... But your not giving me any reasons not to like you!" She snapped, slightly flinching as if she vaguely remembered something..

Merith took the blow with a grunt, slowly straightening again. At first he looked annoyed and angered, but at Heny's flinch and look of puzzlement his own eyes grew even more mischievous than usual and he grinned as the lightbulb went off in his head. "You despise me, dear Heny? Why must you despise me so, as you so dramatically fall to the floor!" He swayed in mock pretend, putting his hand to his forehead as he mimicked passing out.

Asher winced, both at Merith's words, and at Heny's punch. "Please, don't hurt him," he told Heny, unplugging his video output from the monitor, "Although admittedly he deserved it."

As Merith angered the dragon a Instict kicked in, she pivoted on her heels and would try to kick him in the family jewels once more admittedly feeling oddly pleased by the pain she was causing the jerk.

This time Merith was anticipating it, deftly stepping to the side. "Oh, is that all you can do, my little hen?" Merith cooed, an oddly endearing term he used for the woman as he continued to jest at her. "Your skills have grown a bit rusty, Hen. Perhaps you should take classes? If the teacher can stand you long enough!"

Asher hurried to try and grab her by the shoulder. "Heny, please don't."

"Go to hell Saluth!" She snapped, not understanding why she said the last word but something told her that in their native tongue it was quite the insult, she gritted her teeth more so on the verge of tears as she tried so hard to remember. Yes those images did help some but it was only bits and pieces.

Starr stood, moving towards the others, but stopping nearby. "Asher..." She calle dthe android to her. "He is making her remember more" She said softly, noticing that Heny was speaking her natural language, even if ahe didn't understand it. "So long as she stays with a physical fight, it will be alright, I think"

Merith stepped forward quickly, suddenly giving the teary eyed girl a peck on the lips before beginning to run off in the knowledge that that would be a major no-no. "My, Heny, you hurt me so!" He cackled, bounding away as he taunted her in order to make sure the others weren't going to get hurt in what he had probably just started from his own merit.

The android looked at Starr and sighed, frustrated. "Much though I would like to let Heny beat him up, I can't do that. I will... not attempt to make Merith shut up, though. If he can restore her memory, that would be very good."

Heny ears turn bright red, almost like her hair as rage built inside her, memories flashing in her head as she spewed, "You two timing, back stabbing, cheating jerkwad!" She snarled, obviously certain memories returning a look in her eyes that if someone didn't tackle her soon Merith was prabably going to join the ranks of geldings.

Merith laughed giddily and cruelly as he bounded away from her reach, "O, fair Hen! What am I? What am I?" he continued to coo at her poetically, smiling in his annoyingly coy way. "What else am I, O Hen?"

Starrs eyes widened at what Heny just said and she shook her head a bit " Ok, she remembers" she said, moving now to stop Heny from leaving her shuttle "Calm down Heny, please"

Asher reached into his first aid kit for a sedative patch.

"Not until he looses something." She snapped, trying to move past star in blood lust.
