Through the Looking Glass: Chapter One

This wasn't Vestia.

It definitely was not the Vestia they knew.

In the observatory where the dimensional travelers were sent to, they could easily see from the outside how twisted and mangled this Vestia was. The collar on her painted hull digging into her swollen sides. No doubt their presence would soon be known, but the stench of blood and sweat drifted into the room, as well as echoing howls of sobbing, maybe pain if the time of day was right.

This was Vestia, the Slaver Ship. And Vanessa was currently freaking out about the fact the theory of the Mirrorverse was just proven true -- in the worst of ways.

"Enough of this." Mirror Heny sounded almost bored as an incredible amount of magicka energy filled the room. She was trying to use her own magics to shut out the opposing forces. "You come onto my ship like this, thinking you can walk away without repercussion? I doubt that." She walked forward towards Merith, who lied there, stunned and groaning, on the floor. With his yelp, she had tor the dagger right out of his socket and began walking towards Esk with a malicious, angered look in her eye.

Kaylr cackled as a black hole appeared and grabbed onto the door frame, calling into the room. "Oh just knock them all out already!"

Mourn tried to stab mirror Shane with his sword.

The mooks opened fire on Esk who couldn't really defend himself in this state.

"you idiots, don't hit me!" Mattias screamed, twisting so he could kick Esk and try to get him off him. "Fuck he's strong. " He headbutted him a few times in the face as he tried to turn around to face him.

Finally someone managed to shoot him with the anti magic gun. He let go of Mattias immediately, eyes snapping open as his power cut off suddenly. They both stared at one another for a second, then both went for the dropped gun and ended up wrestling on the floor, Mattias punched Esk in the head a few times and stood up as Heny approached.

"He's all yours Captain." Now BOTH his arms were hurt, eugh.

James kept shooting frantically, completely ignoring any tranq darts that hit him, until one of the soldiers shifted into the form of a large, apparently bulletproof dragon and pinned him under her talons.

Ellie got hit by Mirror Shane's tranq dart, and collapsed.

Tala kept bashing heads.

Asher kept shooting until he ran out of bullets, then would try to fight hand to hand.

The woman walked up to Esk calmly, completely ignoring the flying bullets. She stared at him momentarily before her palm flew out to jam him right in the chin and knock him backwards. If successful, she'd place a foot heavily on his chest and stared down at him, annoyed. Her foot traveled to his throat and she began pressing downwards.

"I really don't have time for this. Saraphine! You useless toothpick, where's the anti-magic generator?!"

"Working on it, ma'am!" Another small, familiar voice grunted as the tiny girl came in pushing a black heavy cylinder on wheels.

Mirror Quinn's shadows suddenly lashed out, the black tendrils latching onto James' and Asher's shadows before jerking at them. The androids would find their body not exactly obeying their own commands.

James was squished under a dragon, so whatever Mirror Quinn was doing might not have much effect. However Mirror Quinn could totally control Asher.

Tala charged at Heny.

Mirror Shane looked at the felid and frowned, shooting at the cyborg cat then shifting to his dragon form to tackle him.

Starr looked to Sara as the tiny girlmcame in then moved to grab her to try to send the cylinder into the black hole. She did not want that to start working here.

Shane shifted to his dragon and flew up to start tearing at the nearest mook, working his way over to Ellie to protect her unconscious form.

Rigel gtowled and looked at the mooks, moving to force them back. He was not going down easily ever again.

Kay defended Asher as best he could, but his form was ungainly and he didn't really have a huge amount of experience in hand to hand combat like this. He slashed at a few more mooks, headbutted one in the face with his horns and tripped another with his tail before Quinn started using the android's shadows as a puppet.

Luka kept shooting, having pinned herself into a corner.

Esk tried to scramble to his feet, spitting dark blood as he glared at the approaching redhead.
She moved fast, faster than he could have anticipated. He found himself on his back, choking for breath as she pressed her foot into his windpipe. He clawed at her leg.

Mattias looked satisfied at that, he bent over to pick up the gun and tucked it away into pocketspace.

Dripping blood from his badly bitten arm, he walked over to his fallen duplicate, kicked him in the ribs and rounded on Thalia.

Thalia was shooting at the mooks and aimed the gun at Mattias. He just smirked. "What a shame, she is rather pretty... " He mused and grabbed her by one wrist, pulling her so close she had no chance of firing on him. With a cruel smirk, he started to drain the water out of her body.
She screamed and struggled and fought back but he held her tightly until she went limp.
He didn't drain her completely, they wanted them alive after all. She was breathing, heavily, struggling with each breath and too weak to lift her head as she lay there, gasping.
Mattias reached down, tore a strip of fabric from the material she'd tied around herself for modesty and bandaged his arm, ignoring the rest of the fighting as he strolled toward the generator.

Mourn hissed, the tranq pinged off his metal shoulder and he howled loudly as Shane tackled him to the floor. He continued to scratch, and bite, and claw and kick as his sword slid off across the floor.

Rigel focused and pulled all the bullets and tranqs in the air, sendig them all at Heny at once. He knew she needed to go down, her and Shane from this side.

Mirror Shane growled, fighting to get control of the felid. He was mostly trying to gain control of his arms and turn him around to be able to cuff him

Mourn was small, but he was absolutely ferocious. Pinning his arms wasn't that hard, his robotic arm was no stronger at the shoulder than his organic one, in fact because of the way it was grafted in, it was actually weaker. He hissed, trying to bring his legs up to kick while simultaniously lunging forward to his head. He didn't much care what damage he did to himself, or his optics which would probably hurt like hell if they connected with the dragon's own face.

Esk couldn't breathe, he choked and desperately continued to claw at Heny as his vision started to blur.

Mattias tried to help mirror Seraphine with the anti magic generator, hiding behind the hulking thing and using it as a shield while they plugged things in and got it running.

Luka got hit with several tranqs, gasped and fell to her knees. "No.. " She muttered, and collapsed.

Starr grabbed Sara in one paw and held her as she went after Mattias to get him back and send the generator at the door, the black hole would pull it in...and Kylar if he didn't move out of the doorway

Mirror Shane pulled his head back at that hit, strong as his scales were, it still hurt for something as hard as this felids head to hit him, especially on the nose.

Dawn looked around, using the air to take away the oxegen from the bad guys, forcing the dragons into their dragon forms so they couldn't shoot anymore. The ones who couldn't shift would be in the most danger fron this attack

Mattias glared at Star and tried to drain her of water too. "Doctor, get this damn thing going!" He yelled as he concentrated on the dragon.

Kaylr scurried across the floor and grabbed for the last cable to plug in. Cowering a little with all the chaos.

Mourn continued to struggle and spit, biting at anything that came near enough.

And then there was no air. Mattias and Kaylr both choked for oxygen. Mattias lost his focus on Starr.
"Get... it.. working.." Mattias gasped.

Kaylr glared but tried to get the generator running.

Dawn made the air around the generator even more depleated of oxygen, trying to stop them from a distance.

Starr continued to fight Mattias, fighting him and the loss of water, though she slowed and had to settle to the floor as dizziness overtook her.

Mirror Shane growled and maneuvered them to another of his kin, getting him to help cuff this cat by wrist and ankles so he couldn't fight back anymore.

Kaylr struggled on, his lips turning blue and his dexterity suffering as he tried to get the generator on.

Mattias sank to his knees. His head was spinning.

"SHOOT THEM." Kaylr managed to yell before he collapsed.

Mooks had no idea who specifically he was talking about, but a few of the dragons charged at the pandorians.

Mourn hissed, kicked and yowled but would be overpowered by two dragons and was soon cuffed tightly.

Starr growled roughly and looked to the generator, reaching over to tear out some of the wires if she could reach it. She still had Sara in her other paw.

Dawn and Rigel tried to fight back, but there were just too many dragons. Both were soon cuffed with the anti magic manacles, ending their magic there.

[Looks like we're back after that extended downtime. Something went down forummotion's end. I'm off to bed now but hopefully everything will be running smoothly by morning. See ya guys then!)

Saraphine yelped as she was snatched, trying to squirm out of Starr's grasp in terror. "D-Don't eat me!" She yelled, her squeaky voice catching the ears of Sara, who turned in stared in fright underneath Quinn, who was trying to protect the tiny thing from flying bullets that could kill her immediately.

"Oh, oh, enough of this." Mirror Quinn suddenly giggled. The shadow needed no oxygen as she effortlessly tugged the machine away from Starr and turned it on, before yelping in pain from the machines waves. "Bah!"

"Hmm." The fox smirked, before the shadow tendrils twitched Asher like a stringed puppet, and he dove in front of Tala in an attempt to trip her over while the Captain of the slaver ship watched on in quiet amusement.

(Hahahah such a chaotic day, IC and OOC)

Asher tried to resist, but obviously that would be completely impossible, since he wasn't a magic user at all. He felt a rush of horror at the realization that he was helpless under someone's control again.

Also he was now directly in Tala's path.

The massive minotaur had a hundred pounds on him, and was significantly taller. Charging at full speed, she hit him like a freight train and lost her balance, throwing both of them to the ground with her pinning him down, as if he could have moved on his own anyway.

Tala roared at the fool who had gotten in her way, nearly unleashing her wrath on him, then saw it was Asher and instead struggled to her feet, growling.

As Tala stood, she'd find herself being fired at again -- more tranqs and darts blazing through the air towards her flank.

Tala took a lot of tranqs to subdue, but of course these guys did have a lot of tranqs, and she was starting to get very woozy. She stumbled around a bit, but she was going to collapse soon, no doubt about it.

Asher tried to regain control of his body.

"No, Other-But-Not-As-Intimidating Asher!" Mirror Quinn said, keeping him firmly in place. "You're staying put!"

Asher stopped fighting and glared up at Mirror Quinn. "We don't mean any of you any harm. You don't need to do this."

"Oh, silly!" She laughed, grinning mercilessly at him. "Just because you don't mean any harm, doesn't mean we don't!"

Asher winced. "I was afraid you'd say something like that. Please, can we reach some sort of agreement? There must be some way we can convince you to not hurt us."

One of the soldiers came over. "Permission to cuff your new friend, Quinn Ma'am?"

Meanwhile Tala had collapsed, unconscious.

----In Kaylr's lab----

Mirror Asher finished doing what little cleaning Kaylr generally required, and sorted out Kaylr's favorite tools, ready for his use. He washed his hands fastidiously--this lab, and Kaylr, had left him feeling dirty in a way that never seemed to wash off--before heading over to the cages.
He lounged against the cage, watching Dr. Heinz. "So, Doctor, think we'll get lucky this time? Maybe these intruders will finally kill our master for us?"  He knew the intruders would fail; that was why his programming wasn't forcing him to go check on Kaylr right now. Still, it made a good conversation topic.

Starr flinched at the machine as it turned on but at least it ended the water deprivation from Mattias. She looked to the tiny girl in her paw then shook her head a little "I don't eat living things." She said quietly and forced her hand to open so the girl could get out. Her only point to grabbing her had been to stop her from turning the machine on in the first place.

Mirror Shane called his troops together, getting everyone cuffed that they could without the ability to return to their humanoid forms. They were fairly used to this, but they were not skilled enough to do anything about the black hole out in the hallway.
