Upon Silver Devil: Chapter Three

[I can't say i've ever seen him drunk actually. I haven't seen him in nearly ten years.] Hmm that'd be interesting. [He got tall.] He smiled oddly, trying to make light of what was clearly pretty awkward and difficult.

Luka winced. Damnit Tala.
She sat up. "What's going on?" She asked groggily.

"We believe we know where this man's ship is, his crew were in a bar earlier." "We saw them" "Felid almost started a fight."

Rigel came to his door and looked out then sighed and grabbed a jacket, putting it on and coming over to the group "Almost time to go everyone."

Tala definitely looked pleased with herself. It amused her to make her crewmates jump. "You will lead us to his ship," she told Swarm.

James left his room and came over to join the others, pinning his badge onto the shirt he'd changed into. "Ready when you guys are."

Luka groaned, man, time flew didn't it?
She hauled herself out of bed and got dressed. She stumbled out into the main area of the ship.

Esk came up from wherever he'd been hiding out. "At least make sure you let him know he can't kill any prisoners okay? because given half a chance, he WILL. " He looked to the girls. "And don't leave anyone alone with him, if he tries anything I have to believe you'll both break his arms yeah?"

"Yeah, we want to rescue the slaves, not kill them" Shane said with a frown.

Rigel nodded too, looking to the girls then back to Esk "You just take care of Dawn." He said before heading to the airlock.

Tala snorted cheerfully. "We shall break his arms in a most satisfactory manner if such is needed. He shall behave or he shall regret it." She followed Rigel.

James snorted, but followed along too. "Niiiice."

"Aye aye Captain." Esk smirked and saluted in a manner that didn't feel entirely genuine.

Luka eyed Esk suspiciously.

He smirked back at her. "Well this was your idea Lieutenant, don't fuck it up."

Luka glared. "I won't." She turned on her heel and followed Rigel.

Swarm went with the others to show them the ship. A small chunk of them were however nosy enough to break off from the group and stay with the Devil.

If Esk noticed this he didn't show it, he just stalked off to go see if Dawn was awake yet and needed anything.
Yeah, he was actually going to take the instruction to take care of her seriously. It gave him an excuse.

Dawn was awake, thanks to Tala's yelling again. She tried to sit up as Esk came in the room, though she hadn't noticed him yet.

Esk frowned a little. "Don't try to get up, you'll just hurt yourself." He told her flatly, coming over.

Dawn stopped and settled back, looking to him again "It's not easy to just lay here, especially getting woke up." She said then looked to the door. "They all gone?"

Esk smirked. "Tell me about it." Yeah, he remembered oh too well how cranky he got being on bedrest. "Yeah, they're all gone. Why?"

Dawn shook her head and sighed "I wanted to say 'bye' to them and wish them luck" She said softly then looked for a drink nearby "Can I have some water?"

Esk nodded and got her a glass of water, handing it to her. "they'll be fine." He told her. "My Father enjoys killing slavers, getting him to agree won't be difficult. " he looked at her. "How are you feeling? You know, aside from the whole getting shot thing?" He sounded bored and found a chair.

Dawn accepted the glass and leaned up to take a drink. "I guess I'm alright. I mean, I'm still tired, but that's to be expected, right?"

Esk nodded. "Tala makes a terrible alarm clock."

That made Dawn chuckle and have to put the drink down, holding a hand to the front wound "She really does make a bad alarm clock, just goes off whenever" It was funny, but it hurt to laugh.

Esk stood up to take the glass off her. "Careful, you'll reopen your wound."

Dawn sighed and lay back again, shaking her head "Well, then don't be making jokes when I'm hurt" She countered

Esk grunted faintly. "You're the only person who laughs at my jokes." He told her flatly. "They're not that funny."

Dawn shrugged a little and gave him a smile. "Well, they may not get your jokes, but I do. It takes a certain way of seeing the world I guess."

"that or you just have a terrible sense of humour." Esk shrugged. "or maybe they do. I dunno."

Dawn smiled a little then shrugged "Who knows really?" She said softly.

"Want food?" Esk asked. Yeah smalltalk wasn't his strong point.

Dawn thought a moment then shrugged a little "Yeah, I guess. What time is it?"

Esk looked at the time. "er... morning." (I dunno what bloody time it is lol) "I'll make breakfast." He went for the door. "Want anything else before I go?"

"No, thank you" Dawn said, settling back again so he hopefully wouldn't worry too much about her.
