She scoffed, "My kind only use our technology in defense at best, we avoid combat at all possible."

"Ah." Matthew sounded disappointed, before asking, "What kind of of defense?"

"Illusions, sheilding and so forth."

"How big a shield?" Matthew asked thoughtfully, thumbing a button on his coat pocket as he stared off-handedly at his ship.

"As big as it needs be.... " she replied dryly

"Hmm..." Matthew grew silent, thinking. It made it all extremely awkward.

She crossed her arms, rolling her eyes, "And I won't hand it over either." She remarked.

"Jumping to conclusions is not a formidable trait to have on a crew." Gnu said, looking rather disappointed. "I was hoping if you had actually been looking for a job..."

"Not worth it." Both Matthew and Judas said together. Judas shook his head, "Not with that attitude, she wouldn't be a compatible crew member."

Matthew agreed, "Never mind, then. Good day, Miss Performer." He returned to looking at his ship in silence.

Gnu merely shook his head.

She glared at Gnu, "I have my own ship thank you, I may be poor but I am not desperate. My kind travel on their own for a reason, less trouble and less conflict of views."

Once done speaking there would be a loud beep and the mage would hold a confuse look, she gracefully waves her hands as a holographic image would appear. Her face help this look of surprise then her eyes narrowed, "No...no it cannot be reading right.." There would ne two figures, one of a drakan and one of a fuzzy figure of a avian.

Matthew and Judas both cocked an eyebrow in unison. Gnu tilted his head slightly like a curious animal, "Madamoiselle?"

She pursed her lips into a thin line, a mix look of horror and disgust on her face as she spoke, "....if my scanner reading right, one of you two spawns are..." She struggled saying the last part, "a m-mage. There also appears to be a, avian hybird nearby with the...ability.."

"Mage?" The two said together, looking at each other in confusion. Gnu made small beeping noises as he thought to himself. "There is the hybrid you speak of," Matthew said slowly, "My wife..."

She nodded, clasping her hands together then pulling them appart a holographic hand scanner appeared, "Who up next on seeing which drakan actually has magic." The whole thought made her want to puke, what the hell did she do to karma to get this?!

"Uhm..." Judas looked suspicious, eyeing the scanner, "Os that thing dangerous any way? Or is this some kind of trick?" The sudden turn of events seemed to make them uncertain of her behavior.

"I wish this was a fucking trick." She said dryly, "but sadly it isn't, by guild protocol I have to locate those who are gifted and invite them to be trained in their abilities. It is very rare for us to find a outsider with the ability, and to find two at one go is what a few of my kind would call a great blessing. Take it or leave it boys, I am not a happy camper at all about this but protocal is protocal." She remarked dryly, this was no act.

The brothers looked at each other again, before Judas stepped forward warily, staring at Performer as he pressed his hand on the scanner...

It would scan and do a simple negative beep sound, he would t be harmed or anything like that, "Well..." She said dryly eyeing mathew with distaste.

Matthew stared back, scrunching up his nose a bit as he stepped forward and placed a hand on the scanner. "My kind haven't been able to perform magic since the days of legend, if at all. I think your computer is broken."

"I wish it was.." She said dryly as the scanner beeped happily there would be a screen in Drakan explaining to Matthew what ability he appears to have.

Matthew jumped as it beeped and shifted. His jaw dropping at the archaic scripture. He read silently and stood there for a moment in thought before he snorted, "This this is pulling my leg..."

"Here then." She pulled out a metal ball and tossed it at him, "catch" as he would probably throw it hand up the ball would sudden freeze and float in his hand, but if he say threw it at his brother it would probably leave a nasty bruise

Matthew grunted and threw his hand up to protect himself, pausing in bewilderment as the heavy metal orb floated in his hand. "What's happening?"

Judas gently picked up the ball, oof'ing as the weight nearly dropped out of his hand, "What is this thing made of?!"

She mused, finding Judas reaction priceless, "A bit of a trade secret, but only techno mages can lift and touch it without a issue. Shall I demonstrate?" She inquired innocently.

"Uhm... No, I think I got the idea." Judas said, handing the ball back to Matthew, who still looked bewildered as he was dumbfounded into silence.

"So do you believe me now drakan?" She asked Matthew calmly, her arms crossing.

He looked grim-faced, but nodded slowly. "... I suppose so. What comes of this?"
