You would notice the smaller ship among the giants, docked to the space port it was in search of new crew members after the last few... left suddenly.

He chuckled, "Yea, but for me atleast it home." He showed James the up to date med bay, and gave him a basic tour. There was one fridge cabinet labeled 'Acus only' in assortment of languages. He paused there and took a deep breath, "In here is Hormone therapy shots, I normally give them myself."

James looked around in interest, filing everything's location into his memory index, and cross-indexing them with the things he knew about doctor work. He looked at Acus curiously for a moment at his last remark, tempted to inquire, but Lark's stern voice in his head told him that maybe it was a bit to soon to be asking Acus personal questions.
"Do whatever you gotta do, I'm just here to bandage people," he said with a grin.

He nodded, "The medical reports are there." He pointed to the tablet, "Let me know if there any questions or translation issues."

"Yes, Sir," James saluted smartly and half-sat on the counter, looking up at the Captain. "What do we do now? I see a disturbing lack of injured people in here."

"Well this week is a break but the next client we are gonna work for normally one of us end up shot in the process." Causally Acus shrugged, "Can't do a whole lot until we have a full crew sadly."

"Don't you think, you know, you shouldn't work for people if you'll end up shot?" James asked. "Also, do you guys have a computer around here I can use? I gotta tell my buddies I'm a medic now. They'll think it's hilarious."

He mused, "Eh its a long story on that one, and yea there a fe..spares in one of our old crew's room. Follow me."

"You war veteran types are strange," James said, following Acus. "If someone got me shot, I'd never talk to them again, but you're totally up for helping them out if it gets you some money. It's kinda bizarre."

"Well, money is money now and days. It not that easy living on scraps." He sighed pausing in front of a door that read 'do not enter' he carefully pushed it open.

It was obvious someone lived here before. A pile of pillow in a corner like a nest he went to the desk that had pictures all over the place and dug out a tablet.

James ignored the "Do not enter" sign and stepped in, looking around curiously at the pictures. "Whose place is this?"

"My...old second captain. She moved to another ship now but I figured she would of killed me if I could changed this place.." He weakly smiled, hiding the personal pain ro only his eyes as he held the tablet up, "will this do?"

"Bad breakup?" James asked. He took the tablet, "This should be fine. Thanks!"

He chuckled, "No...we sould of never been that way. Maybe if there wasnt a civil war between our kind but after? No." He said softly.

"Gotta avoid those civil wars," James agreed. "Stabbing and shooting are both awful for relationships. For some reason, nobody seems to understand that until they do it."

"Yeup." He sighed, "But when your drafted you can't argue."

"Well that's just depressing." James lounged against the wall, checking that the tablet's language settings were correct. "Did you ever get a therapist?"

"Heh, I'm a hero to my people..Silv wasn't." He shrugged.

It was.

"Yeah, you gotta find yourself a therapist, man," James said sagely, "The talking kind of therapist, not the other kind. Not me, unless you order me to, but you should get yourself one. Cause you have issues."

He chuckled, "Yea, no thanks the nightmares are bad enough of reminder is it is." He left the room and closed the door.

"I think the point is to work through your trauma so you get over it, you idiot!" James shouted after him.

Acus causally shrugged "Yea yea, say that to the 5 therapists I delt with, and whome banish me from going into their office for the stories I tell."

"This is why I try to avoid couseling people," James muttered. "If you don't mind, I'm gonna go try to seduce the minotaur now."

"Don't blame me if you end up scrap metal." Acus commented before going into his room.

"Scrap metal comments are offensive!" James called after Acus, before turning and heading for his own room.

"It true!" He shot back.

"'Beaten' or 'murdered' would suffice," James pointed out, "There's no need to use graphic and dehumanizing descriptions."

"Hey, " Acus popped his head out, "You can always say I'm gonna get plucked if I piss off someone." He retorted.
