Mars City Five

The ship would be connected to a folding tunnel that curved underground, allowing passengers to move though the spaceport without breathing Martian atmosphere. Starr and Asher would be able to follow that to a larger hallway equipped with moving walkways, which would eventually lead them to the spaceport exit, and into the massive biodome that contained Mars City Five.
There would be quite a lot of androids around, guiding visitors, or otherwise busy. They had shiny "MegaBrainTech Android" badges, and looked very official.

"It's always interesting to be home," commented Asher, "I don't think I like it."

"Thank you for fixing Asher." Nova said, giving them a smile and following Asher out.

Mourn got the door, already he was thinking about this firmware and how to fix it once it was installed. A new challenge, and he hadn't even solved the first one.

Asher led the way out, pausing briefly to thank the receptionist before leaving the building. He looked up and down the street, trying to see if Rigel had brought the others back over here or if they were still off exploring.

Mourn bounced from foot to foot, waiting.

Rigel was leading Moriah and Esk back to the repair center. He waved when he saw the others andAsher standing on his own.

Asher looked relieved at the sight of the others, and headed over to meet them, although he didn't run because he was still cautious about his legs. and because he didn't want to seem suspicious. "Hey guys, they fixed me up. Let's head back to the ship," he said when they were in earshot.

Moriah noticed he seemed agitated, and frowned. Huh, he should look happier right now.

"What's wrong." Esk asked bluntly, noting Asher and Nova's expressions, and how weirdly excited Mourn was.

"We go to ship." Mourn insisted.

Asher didn't know what to say, whether anyone might be listening, so he just led the way back toward the Silver Devil with no further explanation. It was so important to not screw anything up in a moment of weakness, and right now he was moments from doing something very wrong.

"We can talk once we are on the Devil and away." Nova said softly.

Rigel nodded and would lead the way back to the Devil without further questions. Something was definitely up though and he knew it.

Nova made her way off the Devil in her cat form, looking around a little as she headed for the vents. First trick was to get in a vent shaft then get to the supercomputer.

A cat sneaking off the Silver Devil didn't really draw much attention, it was a little odd of course, but there weren't that many people just idling around the spaceport, so nobody really noticed Nova as she left.

She'd probably have to dodge a couple surveillance cameras leaving the spaceport, just to make sure nobody could trace her back to the Silver Devil, but that wasn't too difficult. It wasn't really a high security zone.

The rest of the trip through the city was easy.

Once she reached MegaBrainTech HQ, things would get a little trickier. The garden area around the building had a number of surveillance cameras that needed to be carefully avoided, and once Nova reached the vent she was supposed to sneak in through, she'd find a sturdy metal screen barring her path.

Thankfully there didn't seem to be any magical traps.

Nova looked at the screen blocking her path with a frown. She looked to see if she could simply knock it out of place instead of breaking it.

The screen was pretty sturdy, it looked to be bolted in place fairly securely. If Nova could sever the bolts somehow, that would probably be ideal, then maybe she'd be able to pull it back into place behind her, which would help conceal any trace of the break-in.

Alternately she could probably use her powers to blow a hole in the screen, and hope that nobody noticed it for the next few days, but that would of course be riskier.

Nova frowned and stood up, placing a paw on one bolt and focusing on the inside of it to break the bolts one at a time. She would pull the cover out then get in and pull the screen back into place behind her. Doing so would dull the 'just a cat' disguise, but that was a risk worth taking, since she couldn't be seen.

There weren't any cameras positioned to watch her here, so Nova's un-catlike behavior went safely unnoticed. The bolts severed neatly, and the screen was able to be moved so she could get in. The screen fit back into place behind her pretty well too, most likely it would stay in place, although it might be a good idea to use a spell of some sort to make sure it didn't fall open unexpectedly.

Then she was in the ventilation system. It was a little narrow and cramped even for a cat, so hopefully she wasn't too claustrophobic.

Tala was checking the map with Mourn, providing helpful guidance to Nova, and letting her see the map through her eyes if necessary. It was quite a distance to the basement room, but hopefully Nova's sense of direction and the blueprints would help her find her way there eventually.

Nova made the grate fit tighter instead of using a spell, so it couldn't be detected by magic users that may wander by. She headed the way she was told by Tala and the map. She was glad that she wasn't scared of small or tight places as she headed further in to get to the computer they needed.

Nova would hear people talking as she approached the basement room, it sounded like there might be some people in there, or at least nearby. It was hard to tell exactly, sound carried through these vents in unpredictable ways.

Nova stopped, tilting her ears to get the best read on where the voices were coming from before padding silently closer to her goal.

The voices seemed to be coming from just outside the room. Nova would reach the vent into the room, which was inconveniently also blocked by a grate, similar to the one at the entrance to the ventilation system.

Looking through the grate would reveal that the room was indeed empty of people, but that there were several surveillance cameras that would need to be avoided or somehow fooled. Mourn, being much bigger than Nova, was going to have a much harder time avoiding their gaze than Nova would.

Nova settled behind the vent, looking at the cameras to determine if they were live feed or recordings to start with.

The cameras were probably recording a live feed. It wasn't obvious who would be watching that feed, but since MegaBrain relied so heavily on its robotic workforce, it would be safe to guess that the mainframe computer herself was keeping a watchful eye on this room.

That would make this tricky. Nova studied the camera positions for a moment before looking to the screen blocking her again. She broke the bottom two bolts and loosened the top two then paused to listen to the voices again and make sure she wasn't being monitored here.

It sounded like the people talking might be guards outside the room, they were discussing something about vacation plans. One of them had a fiance.

As long as she stayed quiet, they probably wouldn't be coming in here.

The surveillance cameras seemed to focus their sweeps in the doors and the computer itself. One included the vent in the area of its sweep, but it took long enough that Nova would be able to slip into the room without it seeing.

Once she was in, there seemed to be a few areas of the room where it would be safe to teleport in Mourn.

Nova took note of all of that, letting the others know as she slipped in when the camera was away from her. She went to one of the 'hidden' places that was hopefully near a terminal that couldn't be seen too. When in place, she took the stone off her neck and let them know it was as safe as they could be. Mourn would have to be quiet though.

Tala spoke into Nova's mind. Are you prepared for the Silver Devil's departure? I will not be able to communicate with you once the ship leaves, so we can stay if I am still needed.
