Upon Vestia: Chapter Thirty-Six

Ellie frowned a little at the question. "Yeah, I've talked to them. They're glad to know I'm okay. It's so strange how much older they are now, though." In the photos she'd seen, they both had a lot of gray hairs she didn't remember from before.

Ethan looked amused. "The library's always open. You can stop by any time you want, as long as you don't get sugar on the books."

Matt eventually lead Lana and Nova back to the first class part of the ship to show them the living area or "home" as he called it.
They might run into the others having their tour.

"Cool, and we won't have to hide our forms anymore." Kerr said with a grin. He waved to Matt and Lana when they came in the room too. "Hey, we picked a place to live here. Lana, do you want the fourth room?"

"It'll be great for you guys to not need to keep your species secret any more," Ellie agreed. "Oh hey guys!" she said, also waving to Matt, Lana, and Nova. She grinned, she was excited to meet Matt's daughter!

Lana blinked, looking at the doors. "Fourth room?"

Matt pushed open a door. "Up here they're more whole suites" He laughed. He nodded to Shane and Ellie and Armin.
"You guys doing the tour thing too then?"

"I recognise you" Lana looked at Ellie and Shane. "You were in the pictures."

"Yeah this is Ellie and Shane, and that's Armin and Luna. " Matt gestured to each in turn.

Armin bowed his head.

"this is Lana." Matt explained.

As if she could be anyone else.

"Yeah, I got this room and Vela got that one. The other two can be for you and Danika, if you want." Kerr said, gesturing to each of the bedrooms in this suite.

Lana looked a bit awkward.

"you don't have to pick a room now." Matt told her. "this is just a tour, no pressure okay?"

She looked a little grateful at that.

"Yeah, we needed to do a refresher tour for Vela and Kerr," Ellie said. She looked delighted. "You've seen pictures of me?" that was so sweet, awww. "It's good to meet you Lana. You been having fun meeting your dad?"

Shane waved to Lana and Matt, glad they had shown up. "Yeah, me and Ellie are Matt's friends. We are glad to meet you Lana."

Luna nodded stiffly, glancing back at Matt.

Ellie realized that maybe, just maybe, Lana was a little overwhelmed by all the strangers here. "Uh... some of us can leave if you kids want to look around?" she suggested, in an uncharacteristic moment of diplomacy.

Shane nodded "Yeah, we can go if having us here is too much for you."

"n.. no.. no it's fine, it's fine." Lana told them hastily.

"Okay," Ellie said. "You guys can totally tour the suite a little more if you want. Or we can like, tour some more of the ship. Where have you guys already gone?" she asked.

"uh..." Lana looked to Matt.

"Well let's see.. we saw the arcade and the observation decks and the shopping floor. oh! We haven't done the ranch yet though!" Matt grinned. "The ranch is great, there's all these animals."

"Oh man, yeah, the ranch is really cool." Ellie looked to the dragon kids, "I guess you guys probably don't remember much about the ranch. I think you did see it though once or twice?" She wasn't all that sure. The time at the Guild all kind of blurred together in her mind, it had been so stressful.

"Dawn only just started it when we left." Kerr replied and grinned "I would like to see it again." Vela nodded to that as well.

"well then, let's go!" Matt declared.

Ellie grinned and started leading the way. "It's gotten even better. You'll love it!"

"Starr?" Vestia asked. "There's someone at the ramp who wants to join the crew. We need your help."

Starr looked up then nodded, letting Luna go with the others again. "I'll be right there." She said, waving to the kids as they all followed Ellie to the ranch. She headed for the ramp to talk to the stranger.

Armin bowed his head to Starr, reaching out a hand for Luna if she wanted it.

Matt hobbled after Ellie while Luna kept pace with Kerr and Vela

Ellie waved to Starr as she left, and continued with the others to the ranch. She did wonder who would be trying to join the crew though. It didn't happen all that often.
When they reached the ranch, she waved everyone in, looking proud. She had helped with growing some of the plants in here, and she was proud of her work. "Ta-da!"

Luna took Armin's hand, walking with him if he could bend down far enough, if not then she was happy to be carried.

Kerr and Vela looked around the ranch curiously as soon as they walked in. This place had certainly grown since they had last seen it. Even if it was only months in Vestia's time. "It's so big." Kerr said before looking to Vela and grinning "Race ya!" He called and took off running.

Ellie laughed as the dragons raced off. It was cute! She looked to Armin and Matt, "It's so different here with more kids around. I like it."

Lana's eyes widened at the ranch. She'd never seen grass, or anything like this.

Matt grinned back at her. "Pretty cool huh?"

Kerr and Vela took their dragon forms to run around and fly with one another. They were having fun with so much space.

Ellie smiled at Lana. "You can pet the animals. They're all pretty nice." She watched Vela and Kerr as they played, it was fun to see them able to stretch their wings.

Lana looked hesitant, glancing back to Nova for reassurance.

Matt moved to pat a goat and gestured she come over. "Dawn decided we needed to be more self sufficient in space and so this is what happened. Ellie helped, right Ellie?" He smiled at her.
