A huge North American city, built in a mishmash of styles from many eras of architecture. the spaceport is bustling and filled with cruise ships, racing yachts, and transport craft. It's full of shops, clubs, gardens, and tourist attractions.

The weather is currently cool but sunny.

"There's amusement parks, other museums, monuments to see..." Shane said and shrugged a little.

"Humanist church? Wouldn't they like, glare and call us monsters or something?" Matt asked, he was kinda, just a little bit curious. "you have a special day for worship?"

"Yeah, they probably wouldn't like you guys much. Or maybe even me, I dunno. Sightseeing is probably a better plan," Ellie said. "They have days of worship on alternating days, you're supposed to go to at least one a week in the evening. Not everyone does though."

Matt looked thoughtful. "Amusement park might not be a great idea with my back, unless we dont' go on any rides and where's the fun in that? Monuments to.. what exactly?"

Shane shrugged and spoke about a couple of monuments he knew of, that actually wasn't something he was all to familiar with except as a direction.

"Yeah, maybe we can go to a monument of some sort," Ellie agreed. "Like the mountain with the Three Faces of Elvis in it." She meant Mount Rushmore, which was kind of far from here. Whoops. "Or the ones Shane said."

"Who's Elvis?" Matt asked.

"A famous singer from old times." Shane said then shook his head a little and pulled out his tablet to see if he had any of those songs to play. Of course the first to show was Jailhouse Rock. "This is Jailhouse Rock, made in 1957" He said and hit play

"He's also a prophet of Humanism, and he returned to us too more times after the rockstar version of him died," Ellie said. "One of the more important prophets, too, that's why his face is on a mountain."

"He came back? " Matt tilted his head. "So.. not terran then? Or just a really determined terran?" He laughed a little at that thought,being too stubborn to stay dead.

"He was reincarnated to share the teachings of Humanism with everyone," Ellie said. "The collective soul of humanity needed a voice, and he was one of the chosen ones. He was one hundred percent human," she added.

"okay." Matt wasn't about to get into a religious debate with someone, he knew better. Besides, how'd he know if it wasn't true? he'd seen some weird shit after all.
He looked at Shane's video. "he's not bad."

"That's the only version of him I knew of, he was a good singer." Shane said and shrugged.

Ellie nodded. "Well you need to be a member of the faith to be taught all the details of it, there's some stuff we aren't supposed to ever discuss with outsiders. To the rest of the world, Elvis was just a rockstar" She suddenly looked sheepish, "Which I think I just did. Pretend you heard nothing, okay?"

"man you guys have an interesting religion." Matt remarked with a chuckle. "okay, we'll tell nobody."

Shane nodded then shrugged "Alright" Not like he would tell anyone else anyway.

Ellie nodded. "I mean we don't have any of the really weird beliefs though," she said. "We keep things pretty real in Humanism." She looked proud. Apparently the idea of Elvis resurrecting as the voice of humanity wasn't that weird to her.

Matt chuckled. "All religion is a bit weird to me. I mean, I grew up without any gods and then suddenly my brother had a god like.. in his head. It's pretty weird right?" He shook his head. It hadn't been pleasant.

Ellie nodded. "Yeah, if you don't have any gods, it must be weird when one mind controls your brother. That would make you see religion in a pretty different way." She looked thoughtful. "Wait, what do you believe in, Shane?" She was pretty sure Shane had never mentioned his beliefs to her.

Shane shrugged and looked away at that question. "Usually what's real and in front of me. Starr was telling me about the Vavare religion, which is close to what our people believed in before."

"The Weaver?" Matt asked, hey he paid a little bit of attention to these kinda things. Not that he knew much more beyond giant space spider who wove reality.

"Oh yeah, Armin mentioned the Weaver a few times. The Weaver's connected to the s--your people?" Ellie asked curiously.

Shane nodded and shrugged a little "Yeah, from what she said, our people were there to help the Weaver." He said quietly, though only after making sure no one was close enough to overhear that part.

"That's cool. Suggests there's some truth to it. I mean, for two species to share a faith is pretty unusual right?" Matt reasoned. Made sense to him.

"Yeah, it can't be a coincidence," Ellie said. "That's pretty cool to have myths about your people helping a god." She smiled. "Man, that must be super flattering!"

Shane dipped his head and smiled. "It is pretty incredible." He agreed

The group would leave Vestia, heading for the city hall. They got a lot of odd looks leaving the spaceport because, well, there were kind of a lot of people in the group, carrying signs, no less.

They'd catch a bus, because city hall was kind of a long walk away. The buses had good wheelchair accessibility, so Matt could board just fine.

Asher felt relieved as he boarded, then guilty. He hadn't much liked riding the bus when he was in a wheelchair, and he kind of felt like he was abandoning Matt now, since Asher wasn't disabled any more and Matt was. Maybe he was overthinking it, but it just felt awkward and unfair to Matt.

The bus driver gave the large group an odd look, but she was happy enough once everyone had paid, and would probably get in a conversation with some of the group about where they were going, and then about robot rights. As she told them, the only thing she worried about was drunk idiots making a mess these days.

They reached city hall eventually, and would see the majestic, large building with lots of steps to the door. And in the square below the steps, a number of people gathering with signs.

They had arrived.
