Rogue Avian Station
First topic message reminder :
Created almost half a century ago this station is not attached to Avia. Filled with mostly Avians and Family workers/followers this station holds many dark secrets and ties to the black market. Shockingly rich with culture it is a interesting site to visit if allowed.

Re: Rogue Avian Station
The female was short, about a foot shorter then him actually with a lithe slightly tone build, she looked to be mid twenties so at least he didnt have a child bride. She nodded and slightly followed the female to the group tossing the basket ball to the group of hatchlings. Her features were a well balance hybrid of the more 'normal' keeper facial and that of the Avians. Her feather like hair was of different shades of copper and blue matching what little feathers that went down her shanks, for the most part she could decently pass as avian as long as no one looked at her face. Like all mature members of the tribe she had her tattoos throughout her darken olive skin tone body. Each one holding different meanings she curiously studied Matthew as the leader spoke.
"This is Lai Wa'ki." He said, letting the captain introduce himself.

Re: Rogue Avian Station
Matthew studied Lai just as much as she him. When he realized the woman was being introduced he started a bit before clearing his throat. He nodded his head only slightly, "A pleasure to meet you, Lai Wa'ki... I am Matthew Cobalt."

"Your...him then?" There was a look of relief, at least he wasnt bad on the eyes, or looking insanely old. The elders watched for a few minutes before offering to leave and givr them time to "know" each other.
Re: Rogue Avian Station
"Yes..." Matthew said awkwardly, and couldn't help but scratch the back of his head while glancing at the men leaving with a small nod of thanks. He cleared his throat again, not able to find a topic of interest, "So... Uhm..."

She sighed, "At least you aren't like some of the ugly pervs in the past that tried to make this deal." Perhaps blunt but it was truthful, "Not exactly how you planned to get hitch is it?" She gave him a sympathetic smile.
Re: Rogue Avian Station
"No, not exactly..." Matthew couldn't help but let out a chuckle at her words. "This is all very strange to me... I mean, I assume this means I'm kind of stuck with the Family and these Avians, doesn't it? No getting out now."

Re: Rogue Avian Station
She nodded, "But it allies you with two very powerful groups...and for me gets me off station but not sent to one of the family bases." She admitted with a shrug, "Not the most ideal way but oh well. Is there anything you'll like to ask? Want a tour of the place?" The latter waa because a group of hatchlings were starting to notice the two and she could already see through the corner of her eyes the water balloons being passed around.
Re: Rogue Avian Station
Matthew shook his head, "I understand most of the contract... Other than all the marriage necessity, but I believe I will learn..." He also eyes the children, but pretended not to draw attention to them, "Of course, lead the way."

Re: Rogue Avian Station
"We are a people who customs are all banished from our planet we once called home, so we cling onto what we can." She said simply a relief look on her face as she lead them away towards the market zone/gardens. Rich smells of food and spices filled the air, "Please forgive some of the hatchlings behavors here today, its the fiftieth year this station has been open and it isnt uncommon sadly for pranks to be done. Most part they are harmless but the day is young here today." She mused.
Re: Rogue Avian Station
"It's perfectly fine," Matthew said, following her, "Children are wily and reckless things, but it does get them into trouble..." The thought trailed off, as if Matthew was thinking about something, as if the idea was bringing back memories.

She sighed, "Indeed, but at least they havent gotten a hold of the bottle rocket yet." She sighed, "So..do you have any questions about the ceremony or about me personally? Also if your hungry let me know."
Re: Rogue Avian Station
"Well, tell me a bit about yourself, then." Matthew spoke, looking around.

Re: Rogue Avian Station
"Uhm...26, finished my poison master training six months ago, father keeper mother a vessel avian. Father was not in the picture family wise." She held this sour look, "I been training for 20 years to become a master, 6th generation to do so. Uhm..man that sounded like a resume didnt it?"
Re: Rogue Avian Station
Matthew chuckled again, "A little, but I doubt we'll be able to do much more than that right now..."

"Hobbies?" Matthew paused and thought for a moment, "Well, I mostly enjoy strategy games more than anything, although a nice book every once and a while is enjoyable. I suppose adding onto it is fencing. I am a master swordsman, after all. Keeping up with my skills is a necessity."

Re: Rogue Avian Station
She chuckled, "I can cook terran and Avian." She mused, "so no need to worry about supplying live bugs."
Re: Rogue Avian Station
"I think I could handle live bugs if need be."

Re: Rogue Avian Station
She mused, "Not all, species like the idea of their food still being alive when they eat it. Of which...what are you?" She asked.
Re: Rogue Avian Station
"Me?" Matthew blinked his deep red eyes slowly, "I am a Drakkan, my dear."

Re: Rogue Avian Station
"Drak-kan..? I never heard of your kind, are you dragon base?" She as in a curious tone.
Re: Rogue Avian Station
Matthew shook his head, "No, it was just really happy accident we sounded like the word, 'Dragon,' though I guess the horns might look dragon-ish."
