Detailed Physical Description:
Physically very imposing, Tala is 6'5" and bulky, as her species has to be to support the weight of their massive bovine heads. Her fur is black, beginning to go gray with age, and her eyes are brown.

Typical Clothing/Equipment: Like all minotaurs, generally chooses to not bother with a shirt, and only wears pants to make other species feel better (minotaurs aren't mammals, so it’s socially acceptable for females to go shirtless). Wears a gold hoop in her left ear as her only decoration. Carries a gun and anti-magic cuffs, as well as a small medical scanner.

Tala is pragmatic, opinionated, and almost fearless. In part this is due to the philosophy of the tribe she grew up in: her people generally don't believe in tact and careful words, preferring to say what's on their mind directly, and they have to be brave enough to fight off the massive and incredibly athletic tigerlike creatures that sometimes hunt them. But even by her tribe's standards, she's pretty intense.

She isn't great at offering sympathy, and is pretty likely to just tell you if she thinks you're being silly. She's learned to break the news a little more gently, but she still isn't patient with impractical people.

Sometimes her opinions aren't very nuanced, or are even just plain wrong. She's fine with locking away a species of sapients if she believes them to be a threat, and thinks they should be fine with it. And she believes that slavery is normal and justified as long as the slave's owner isn't cruel (although she's slowly starting to question this).

Still, Tala is capable of offering useful insight, and believes people are entitled to their opinions. She'd sacrifice her life for her family, people, or crew in a heartbeat. And if it's brought to her attention that something needs to change in order to ensure the safety of the people she protects, then she'll absolutely help to change it.

Skills/Talents: Very skilled in hand-to-hand combat, less skilled with a gun, but still competent. Moderately powerful telepath, although she can't overhear people's thoughts unless she makes an active effort to listen. She can speak telepathically to a single person she knows at up to a couple miles' range if she really focuses, but it's not easy and she'd have a lot of trouble finding anyone in a crowd with telepathy.
Very good sense of smell.

Strengths: Level headed. She's a good leader, and knows how to delegate tasks and keep her crew in order.

Weaknesses: Can't read well. She didn't start learning until later in life, and minotaurs tend to have some difficulty learning to read.
Humidity gives her respiratory and hoof issues. Gets very sick if she eats meat products.

Fears: Doesn't seem to have any. She's not a risk taker, but that's mostly because she's sensible, not because she fears things.

Most Instructive/Painful/Memorable Experience: Was part of the rescue crew who invesigated the wreckage of the ship Jahmil, a minotaur colonizing ship that was attacked by the Imperium.

Sexual Preference/Experience/Values: Lesbian. Not terribly picky about species. Is married to a minotaur cow named Nadira, who lives back on their home world. They agreed to have an open relationship because they haven't seen each other in years.
