Planets and systems and space stations etc - map brainstorm

Okay,

game started on a random unnamed commerce station in Galactic Empire space. No idea who they are.
Elos is in that region too.
they went to Terran Space (took how long to get there?)

Earth, mar etc obviously Terran

Blown up planet/Merith's lament - Somewhere near terran space but not actually in it?

Asshole cold planet of humanists - Terran

SD picked people up on a random space station too, presumably in terran space.


Family Asteroid

Avia - Gallus system. A few weeks from Defiant? (I have to read back there)

Beach Planet - Terran

Defiant - close to beach planet, just outside terran space?

Vavaren - a couple of weeks from Defiant?

Guild of scribes - 4 weeks from Defiant

Aketi outpost - Edge of Aketi space, 2 weeks from Guild space

Aketi space/colonies and homeworld - near the guild... ish.

Haakon - just outside Imperium space in neutral territory

Minotaur colonies

Imperium space - near terran space.

Shifter planet - Near Imperum space, quite probably inside Imperium space now.

Felid/Canid etc planets - Same system. No idea where they fall, i'll slot em in somewhere lol.

Swarm planet - In a region where there's a lot of biotech. Not sure where it is exactly. Slot that in somewhere.

Hytar's asteroid house lol - 3 weeks... ish.. from guild space?

the dragon empire people? (what are they called again?) - ??? Star?

Pandoria? Pandora? that place... - ???

Atruvia - ???

Kevali/Kalvair - So freaking far away omg. also, who the heck knows, they don't have star charts.

Galactic Empire might be the Terran Empire, hmm. We can assume they're the same thing I guess, to save confusion. It was about two months from the start of the game to Mars, I believe.

Latest version of map, minus Hytar and the SD's routes cause the zigzags are just confusing by now. I added a boatload of empty space for new stuff to be added, thus the awkward white space around the edges.

Edit to add: I'm planning to create a nicer looking version pretty soon. I just want to have all the locations it needs charted out first.

This is the start of the less ugly map. Suggestions welcome, of course. And I plan to add in all the planets and stations pretty soon. Maybe the travel routes too, if I can figure out how to do that without it looking horrific. Maybe the best thing to do is to make separate maps for each ship? Idk, guys, lol.

Heny, I added the Shardian Empire to the bottom left, I can move it to be farther and bottom-ier if needed!

Make it slightly bigger (a third bigger) into the lower bottom and it'll be perfect. You can divids 3/4 of that into three factions and them whats left of the 1/4 you can divide about 5 ways for the different colony factions, one of them being the free colonist lol

You could always have a map just for the Shardian Empire to mark out all the smaller parts, like an excerpt thing.

Hmm, that's a good idea. We could definitely look into something like that, more local maps to show areas in more detail.
