Satare Empire - Melanoc Lunar Colony

First topic message reminder :

One of the central lunar colonies orbiting the vast, water world Satare.

A farming colony, what isn't walled farmland is dense forest and woodland.
There are 12 moons in the sky, though not all are visible at any one time and the enormous blue ball that is the planet.

Don't go out after dark, there are monsters in the woods.

Moone flushed and dipped her head "He does that for some of us." She hadn't really given much thought to why she was singled out to have him say to take care of her.

"When a god takes interest in a mortal, it is never for no reason. " Kaliyani reasoned.

Moone dipped her head then chuckled softly "I am not so certain he is a god. I think he's a keeper that has hidden on our world."

"Like Thalia?" Kaliyani asked. "But why would they have any interest in magic users?"

Moone shrugged then sighed and shook her head "Maybe company? If he is a trapped keeper, then he has to get lonely sometimes. I don't know, I would have to go home and find a way to talk to him."

"trapped? Do you believe he cannot leave your home world?" Kaliyani asked. "Our Elders are like that, bound to the system, to the suns and the moon, to the earth itself, to leave would be to tear a part of themselves asunder. "

"Not trapped like that." Moone said and shook her head "But if he's hiding from the Family on our world, he would be trapped in that he can't leave without being found...well, maybe now he could, if the others succeeded."

"That still does not explain his interest in you." Kaliyani mused.

Moone frowned in thought then shrugged "I had a theory on that, but..." She sighed and shook her head, uncertain if she wanted to say it now

"Yes?" Kaliyani looked interested.

Moone frowned and looked down at her hands in her lap "Well, if he is only a keeper instead of a god, and if it's true that a pure Artuvian can't have magic, then it's logical to think that maybe those of us that do are, well, not pure but part something else, like part keeper."

Kaliyani processed that slowly, her eyes widening a little. "You believe he may be your father? Or.. ancestor?"

Moone shrugged then nodded "It makes sense, if the other things are true." She said softly

"Whatever the case, you are important to this entity, for reasons you do not yet know." Kaliyani rationalised. "I pray your purpose, when it is revealed to you, is a good one."

Moone smiled at that and nodded "I hope so too" She agreed then looked over as Kerr jumped down from the bed to come over to them

Kaliyani smiled weakly at Kerr, bowing her head. "Did we wake you?"

Kerr chirped and looked over to Kaliyani before shaking his head "No, we wake up now."

Moone chuckled and pet Kerr "Their naps are getting shorter, they are growing up."

"they grow fast." Kaliyani mused.

"Yes, they do. It's the way of their species, these guys are about a month old now." Moone said, picking up Kerr to snuggle with him then looking to Vela and Danika as they jumped down and came over.

I think this thread is currently on the day of the battle, so they'd have been in the Imperium about 12 days.
The babies hatched on day 5 at the Guild, the battle was day 27. So they're currently 22 days old on this thread's timeline?)
