Upon Vestia: Chapter Twenty-One

Luka made a face. "gross. Computer, regular clothes please." She looked relieved as the gown disappeared and she was just in her usual cargo pants and vest. "Who should we go annoy then?"

Kay tried to look disappointed but honestly he was rather pleased not to have to deal with hungover idiots. He went to his desk and arranged things, someone had moved his stuff, grrr.

Asher watched Kay tidy his desk, amused. He did love Kay's perfectionism. He went to his own desk and made a show of sorting his pen collection, which had started growing again at some point.

Kay glanced to Asher. [Have you been stealing pens again?]

Asher put on a look of innocence that was about a hundred times more convincing than all those times he'd tried to look grumpy. "I don't think so. Why?"

Kay shook his head.[you're as bad as my brothers, both Matt and Web can't help but pick things up and take them. ] He rolled his eyes but he looked amused. [I'm going to have to start either locking them in something, or carrying one around with me at all times] He smiled. Asher's pen thing was wierdly endearing, a bizarre and silly minor annoyance that Kay couldn't help but find strangely adorable.

Asher tried to keep looking like he didn't know what Kay was talking about. "Me? Taking things? Of course I don't." His smile broke through the innocence, and he added, "It's okay, I always leave you at least one that works."

Kay nodded. [Good. I won't have to resort to hiding things of yours then.]

"What would you even take? Steal the pens back? Go after the mechanical pencils or the note pads?" Asher shook his head, "Don't worry, I'll always leave you a pen to use because I'm a nice guy."

Kay looked thoughtful. [I'd think of something.] Hmmm, something to ponder.

Darn, Asher wouldn't be able to protect whatever Kay wanted to steal, if Kay didn't even know what he'd take yet. "Well good luck thinking of something," he said, amused.

Kay smirked and sat down. He made a note that he should talk to Ethan later, maybe... probably...
But for now, scowling at anyone who staggered in suited him just fine.

Kooshie wrote:Ellie smiled encouragingly and slowly lowered Danika to the ground. "Basically flying," she told the little dragon proudly. "Good work!"

Danika flapped her wings a couple of times then folded them and looked to Ellie again "Not flying, but close enough" She said then sighed and glanced to the others, partially wishing she could be as carefree as they were and partially still too scared to even try.

Ellie petted Danika's head with one fingertip. "That's enough flying for one day, huh?"

Danika looked to her then crawled up her arm to rest on her shoulder. "I want dad, is he awake yet?"

"I don't know. Vestia, is Kay up?" Ellie asked the sky.

"Let me check," Vestia said.

"Kay, there's a cute little dragon who wants to know if you're awake," Vestia said.

Kay looked up at the camera and smiled softly, nodding. [I'm fairly certain i'm awake, or else this is a very boring dream.]

Asher looked to see what Kay had written, and laughed.

"Okay, I'll tell them you're awake then," Vestia said.

"Your dad's awake, Danika," Vestia said.

"Yay, let's go take you to him!" Ellie said to Danika. "Sorry, Sonata, I'll be right back, I swear!"

Kay smiled to Asher, shrugging.

Danika chirped happily at that, holding onto Ellie so she wouldn't fall.

Kerr and Vela chirped and said bye to them before going back to playing.

Ellie waved to the others and carried Danika to the med bay.

Kay smiled as Danika and Ellie came in. Ellie was really in her element taking care of baby dragons wasn't she?
[You look surprisingly un-hungover.] He observed.

"Sawna healed me. It was awesome!" Ellie said.

Asher rolled his eyes at that news, but then smiled at Danika instead.

Kay frowned. Using the Carpathian to get rid of hangovers? eugh. [I'm not convinced that's a good idea, don't make a habit of it. Your body gives you a hangover for a reason.] He cautioned. Magical healing always made him a bit uneasy, it was too uncertain as to the long term impact.

Danika grinned at seeing Kay and Asher, bouncing a little on Ellie's shoulder "Hi dads" She said excitedly, though would wait to be close to the desk to climb down or to be handed off.

Ellie smiled. "But Sawna said it was okay!" She brought Danika over to the desk to climb down.

Danika did climb down then headed over to Kay since she hadn't seen him in a while.

Kay petted Danika's head as she came over. [Sawna always says it's alright, I don't think she can say no. ] He shook his head. [just try not to make a habit of using her like that alright?]
