Asher nodded. "I'll be careful. Stay safe, and don't let anyone be too stupid." He'd head for the bridge.

"My sister is going to the other universe, she is very curious about them." Andre said then smiled "And I have studied enough to take the form of your people so that I will not be attacked for being different looking." He added

Kaliyani's eyes widened. "You can change forms!?" Well that was unnerving.

Andre tilted his head a little then nodded "Yes, we can become other things, it is the nature of my people" He said then took a step back and changed to look like one of her kind to show her

Kaliyani stared at him in shock, taking a step back. "yes.. you... you will fit right in... " She frowned. "How do we explain you though? they will wish to know who you are."

Andre returned to his normal form and frowned a little "Perhaps as one born out here in space?" He asked curiously

Kaliyani nodded. "They... may not ask, but at least till we have the heir in place and the elders satisfied, keeping a low profile may be wise. " She frowned, this felt weird being nominally in charge. She was so used to taking orders. she shifted uncomfortably. "I wonder if any others survived... The Kanistha claimed they died soon after finding him, but what if they did not all find him?" She shook her head. "We may never know."

Andre nodded and smiled again "Yeah, who knows, some may have just found a way to leave here or ended up on another world somewhere. I bet we can ask around once everything is settled."

Kaliyani shook her head. "Perhaps." She looked at him thoughtfully. "How much about my people have you learned?" She asked, honestly somewhat curious about how much info was out here about them.

Andre tilted his head a little then explained what he had learned about her people

Kaliyani nodded, there wasn't a lot of information out there. they weren't a space faring race after all, and they kept mostly to themselves unless they were trading. Their main export was gems and gold and other minerals, things that were of no real use to them. They traded gold and precious stones for what could be seen as trivial things, food, water, tools but their system was remote, their worlds inhospitable and their language difficult to understand. It was also extremely difficult to land on Kalvair, impossible on Kevali itself due to the constant dust storms of the surface. Most races left them alone, didn't interfere, they were such a primitive people, what did they matter?

"I am ready to go whenever you are. there is nothing for me here." She told him. "Do... you think we could take anything with us?"

"I don't see why not, I can go with you to ask Captain Starr if you want." Andre said with a smile "What did you want to take?"

"Food, medical supplies." She admitted.

Andre nodded and smiled again "Let's go ask then, all she can do is say no, and if she does, we could always stop by my homeworld first, or a port, though I have no credits right now." Hm, a stop by his homeworld sounded better, if Starr said no for whatever reason.

Kaliyani nodded and would anxiously follow him. She still covered herself up, still concealed her face and still seemed extremely nervous around people. She was trying so hard, but it was hard to shake all this time of fear and isolation.

Andre walked with her and let her hide as much as she wanted as they went to the bridge where Starr was.

Starr turned when the two were announced and let in. She smiled at them "Hello again, how can I help you?"

Kaliyani looked awkward and nervous, she looked to Andre, then remembered that she was supposed to be regent, which meant she had to show authority.
She bowed her head to Starr, still looking a little fearful.

"We.. we are nearly ready to leave." She explained. "but... before we go, we... I... hoped you would allow me to take some medical supplies, maybe... some food?" She felt like she was asking a little too much here and flushed, bowing her head again.

Starr understood her fear at least of being suddenly in a position of authority, thanks to her mirror self's learning of that, though her mirror self didn't have that authority over others yet. "I believe we have enough to share some with you. We could make it part of a peace agreement so that it isn't seen as a handout or anything like that, if you wish." She offered gently. She did have the authority to make peace deals with others,and she would like to have that in place. "Star dragons are rather fond of gold and other gems after all. A peace deal with your people could lead to a trade deal later on." She said with a soft chuckle.

Kaliyani bowed her head again and nodded. "That... sounds like it could be extremely beneficial. Drinkable water is scarce outside of the capital, particularly on Kalvair and our technology is... so limited compared to... all of this." She gestured to the ship. It was going to be weird going back.

Starr nodded and glanced around then headed for her room off the bridge "Yes, cultural changes are always shocking, even when it is going back home. How much will you need?"

Kaliyani looked a little overwhelmed. She gaped and hesitated. "i.. I do not know." She admitted. This was all so new to her. "As.. as much as we can carry?"

Starr paused and looked at them both then nodded "Alright, gather what you need and I will have someone find something to carry water in

Kaliyani bowed deeply. "My thanks your highness, you are most gracious!"

Starr smiled and dipped her head at that "Thank you" She said then turned to an android to see what they had to carry water in for them.

Kaliyani would gather the things they needed, using her shawl as a makeshift carrier by tying it complicatedly around herself. She took bandages and simple medical supplies that didn't need any special care or expertise to use. First aid kit level stuff. She would also load up on dried food and rations, careful not to take too much because that would be rude.
When she had all she could carry, it was time to return to Starr.

Andre would help her though he didn't carry much, saving his strength to carry the water for her. He shifted after they got back to the bridge then picked up the jugs they had found to use and had tied together.

Again Kaliyani bowed to Starr. "I look forward to a long and prosperous trade partnership with you and your people." She told Starr. She never smiled.

Starr did smile, glad to have a new partner in trade "As do I, for both our peoples"
