The Mirror: Realm of Foxes and Fertile Earth

The large redwood trees hung overhead, the thick foliage playing with the sun as the rays dappled the leaf-covered earth. They were on a small cobblestone pathway with small walls with spaced out openings into the forest, mostly there for decoration, and to hold up heavy, unlit stone lanterns. The birds whistled overhead and the wind whispered in the trees, but, at the moment of arrival, not a soul was to be seen other than the party of four themselves.

"We thought it would be very foolish to bring certain members of our crew, or any weapons, to your realm," Asher said carefully, "As we have no desire to make more powerful enemies." He smiled at Shane's words, "It is beautiful here."

Armin looked at the runes, trying to make them out. "Diplomacy is important, it is how the Vavare have survived all this time in our dealings without outside races. One must be humble, one must be subservient, one must be above all else, non threatening. " He nodded.

"A wise decision." Inari opened the door. Inside it would have been pitch black, had it not been for the three dimensional, holographic map of the Milky way. She stepped inside, expecting them to follow, and wandered up to the star-filled map as she began to search for the region of the approximate coordinates...

Armin looked at the map in awe. "This is the entire universe? " He tried to find his home world, searching the constellations and systems.

Shane followed her in then paused as he looked at the map "Oh, wow" He said then chuckled and went to the coordinates "We were around here"

Inari laughed. "Just the galaxy." She suddenly zoomed out, and the picture blobbed into vein-y looking ropes. "This is the universe... just part of it. All connected together with matter and leylines, like a web." She smiled at Armin with a nod of the use of the word web, and began zooming back in to just the Milky Way. "Now, this," she pointed to an arm, two thirds the way out from the center, is the Sol system, and your ship..." She pointed a bit a ways from it. "Was approximately here when you left. Do you know how fast they were moving?"

Asher let out an awed breath, looking at the map. Oh yes, it was lovely. He gave Inari Vestia's current approximate speed, not taking his eyes off the map for a second.

Armin smiled to himself and examined the map carefully, walking around it and appreciating the depth and detail. It was a beautiful thing, the milky way and the universe as a whole.

"So then, they should be around here." She pointed just a bit closer to the Sol System, but not very much at all. "Well, it might take a few tries, but I can try to get there."

She looked at Armin and John, "You two might want to stay back as I try to find them. My portal might accidentally end up in the vacuum of space, and unlike your friends, you would have a hard time surviving, would you not?" She walked over to the back wall and hald her hand together, taking a deep breath...

Armin bowed his head. "Of course." He moved back a way, looking worried. Space vacuum, that didn't sound reassuring at all.

Shane smiled again and moved to Asher's side. Yay for being a star dragon and able to survive space.

Asher watched curiously. "Do we need to hold onto something?" he asked.

"Oh, not at all! I just don't want your friends to accidentally slip in somehow." She said cheerfully as she opened her summer green portal. She dipped her head in for a moment, holding onto the wall.

Asher waited, interested to see what would happen.

Inari suddenly jumped back and held her jaw tightly. Blood dripped from the would as she soon healed. "Flying rocks. Enviromental hazards, right?..." She chuckled, closing the portal and opening a different one, poking her head through it again.

"Are you all right?" Asher said worriedly. She was a powerful magical being, but that didn't mean getting hit in the face by a rock wouldn't hurt.

"M'lady!" Armin dug through his pockets for a bandage. "Here." He handed it to Asher.

Shane watched her and wandered a little closer to see where she was opening the portal to. "Be careful ma'am"

"Thank you all, you're all very kind." Inari sounded almost flattered, in a very shocked way. "But there is really no need..." He wound sealed, her jaw unbroken. She popped her head back in before quickly backing out, coughing as her face was quickly healed of severe burns "Nebula... A few lightyears too far starboard..."

She took a deep breath, before opening her eyes and smiling, "Third time's a charm?"

"ahh, Keeper yes?" Armin inquired. "Your healing abilities are quite remarkable. Exceedingly useful I am certain."

Asher winced, watching Inari. Sure, she could heal fast, but that still looked extremely painful. "Good luck," he said with a weak smile.

"I hope so, want me to look in for you?" Shane offered. Dragon skin wasn't as able to be hurt after all.

"By all means, do as you wish, Star Dragon." She opened up another portal, and stepped back.

Shane nodded and moved to the portal to look at where it opened to and what was around it

By stroke of luck, Shane stuck his head into an off room of Vestia... ((You may play any interaction on that thread if you want))

Shane pulled his head back and smiled "Looks like Vestia, or this world's version of her" He informed before going through fully to make sure.

Asher looked at the others, uncertain. He was almost nervous to step through the portal again.
