Upon Vestia: Chapter One

Docked into a large comerse station of the galactic alliance a smart ship put up a open passage sign on her docking port. Her helper would be off doing her own thing as she made sure supplies where there for the new guests to come, her earpiece on it would seem like as she walked the bustling station she was talking to herself as she tapped on a tablet in her hand.

The female looked human with elf like ears, short spikey purple hair and violet eyes with deep tan skin. She wore simple leather, with combat boots and a white undershirt beneath her vest she looked more like she belonged on a black market station then a respectable one they where on now. She kept a careful eye on her surroundings as if worried. On the board there flashed those most wanted and a female face would appear, looking different but with the same sorrow in her eyes of the one that was talking to herself there was a high bounty on her head for some odd reason.

"My dear... No... You'll never understand. An idiot doesn't care for other species. Especially one so ancient as the Anamchara. We very much are several personas in one... Some souls, however, do not wish to be part of this bond, like myself. I'll get out... Eventually... Now, you'll come with me!"

Suddenly he snarled, and ther light began to flicker out. She felt as if she was fading, fading... But then he suddenly hissed, "No! A little longer! This w**** is mine!" Suddenly the shadows receded. She would get a dizzying feeling as her mind and body was released. Her light filled the room again, granted very low battery. The fox was silent for a few seconds, when she spoke out again. The male voice was gone, replaced with the female that spoke softly and held a tone of wisdom. "A-A-Apologies, Miss Ellie..." She sounded weak, "I must... Miss Vestia? A-Are you listening, Miss Vestia? I need-"

There was a thud, as if something had collapsed.

Ellie shrieked unintelligibly as she began fading out, then again as she faded back in, because it seemed to be the appropriate response to the situation. "Very clever, fox," she gasped out, "Trying to convince me that you have a less demonic side! Ha! I know the truth!"

Nothing answered her -- nothing stirred. All was silent. It appears the fox had either left, or passed out, considering that sound of something falling.

"...Fox-Demon?" Ellie asked, something almost resembling concern in her voice. She nudged the air where the sound had come from gently, with her foot.

She would feel the pressure of something soft, but it did not stir or move by the pushing. In fact, the object was quite limp.

"I don't hate you that much, you can't help being evil," Ellie said, reaching down to see if she could feel the invisible shape's pulse, and hoping it wouldn't bite her shadow. "Come on, wake up. We were having a conversation."

Again, nothing stirred. When she found the correct spot, there would be a pulse, thankfully. The breathe was there, but it was quiet and shallow, not exhausted, but simply weak, as if she were ill. Still, all was silent.

"Oh great, the insanely magical creature had a magical heart attack, and now it needs magical medical assistance, and the mages are all busy or comatose," the human said sourly. She decided she should move the fox out of the hallway, to reduce chances of it being stepped on by an unsuspecting passenger.

Vestia grumbles as the lights turned brightly back on and medi bots scurried in to help.

The fox was continueing to take in shallow breaths as her limp body was carried away. Her fur, this time, was more than shadow -- it was soft, tangible and well kept. Most of it was raven black, but her paws and tail were littered with a celestial cyan-blue, which also spiked a crop of fur at her head, that looked much like a sported hairstyle. Perhaps the most odd thing, however, was that this fox was avian. Black and cyan-patterned wings rested from the shoulder blades, the wingspan stretching nearly eight feet to make up for the heavy largeness of the fox herself.

Ellie looked at the winged fox, and sighed. "Vestia, maybe we should call the others. I know they're busy trying to save Heny, but I have no clue how to help here. One of them will probably have a better idea of what to do."

"They are busy still." She said sharply.

"Oh, pardon me for worrying about the fox demon," Ellie snapped back.

"Don't say another word, or I'll have you kicked off my cruise! I'm getting tired of your human... Human bull! You've done enough. I recommend you retire for the day." Vestia's words were laced with hurt and rage. The medic bots gingerly gathered the fox together and began to escort her to the infirmary...

Ellie turned bright red with fury. "Which part of 'this magic demon fox is hurt' do you not understand? It's magic. I don't think you and your robots are. I will NOT shut up."

One of the bots paused and swiveled its camera head in Ellie's direction. Vestia was silent for a moment, the ship trying her best to contain her disdain for the human girl. "I am taking her to the infirmary. Hopefully there she'll recover until we can find someone more knowledgeable in her... Species. I am not entirely sure what she is." It was true, Vestia had not been around when Matthew had begun to explain what Quinn really was. The ship had no idea how to identify what was wrong with the being.

"You'll just get in the way, and frankly I am not in the mood for your smart behavior. So, as I suggested before, go to bed, or get off!"

"Those someones who are more knowledgeable are ON THIS PLANET WITH HENY," shouted Ellie, "STARR, MERITH, THEY KNOW A LOT."

"Your like an insufferable child!" Vestia hissed angrily. The bots turned towards Ellie, holding out the limp body of the fox. "Very well, you take her to them, since you care so much for that demon fox you've repeatedly insulted! And when you get back, my request still stands! Retire to your room or get off!"

Ellie lifted the fox, somewhat gently despite her fury. "Fine, I will. Do I get a shuttle, or do you want me to carry the fox all the way?" She stuck out her tongue, the image of immaturity, "I may hate its guts, but I don't want it dead."

Vestia wish she had a face so she could glare. Off handedly she sniffed at the human. "There's one waiting for you at the docking bay."

(I kind of don't want to send Ellie over to the other thread, because honestly she's been annoying me a bit lately. Mind if time slows down over here so the other characters can return to Vestia before she gets to leave?)
